Impact on Bullying in our Schools

Abstract
When it comes to bullying in our schools there are so many different things to think about. For the child being bullied all the way to the bully themselves. There needs to be solutions to how to handle each situation so that it does not make it worse. This paper will discuss the many different situations for bullying and the some solutions that will help everyone on how to handle the bullies and victims.

Bullies, who are they and how do we protect our children and society from them? This is a question that is asked everyday by parents that have children that have been bullied. Do we place blame on our schools for not protecting our children from the bullies or do we place the blame on the parents of the bully? We first need to try to figure out how to help these children or if there are any actions we can take to help them. Should there be harsher punishments for the children that bully others? In this paper we are going to try to find solutions to some of these issues. First, bullies are not just in American Schools, they are all over the world in each and every different school. It doesn’t matter what ethnicity one is bullying takes place based on many different levels. According to Kasetchai Laeheem students who are bullied by other students are usually injured, suffered and don’t want to go to school. These kids feel in some way that life is not worth it and this is where we as parents, teachers, counselors and peers need to step in and put a stop to bullying. According to the article Anti-bullying Practices in American Schools: Perspectives of School Psychologists, bullying prevention/intervention strategies are reviewed under five categories:
Systems-level interventions
School staff and parent involvement
Educational approaches with students
Student involvement
Interventions with bullies and
