America Is A Gift To Our Generation
Most of the gifts that we’ve grown up with and couldn't live without are thanks to the generations before us. The technology we use, medicine, and even our behavior is by virtue of the generation before us. America’s gift to my generation is innovation. Before us, the generations made a lot of positive impacts that we can enjoy. They made advancements in technology, medicine, and innovation. They kept a good behavior which reflected on us. They kept the earth as clean as they could, saving us from a much worse pollution problem. The innovation in the generations before us is responsible for the cellphones we all carry with us. They are responsible for the technology we use every day. The medicine that might one day save your life was thanks

It is apparent how life has changed since new inventions have been introduced in the human life. Over the past 50 years, advanced inventions have created and improved the world, and also it changed the period of time when they were created. The two creations that were created are the automobile and the phone. The automobile was created in 1908, and later appeared in Cold Sassy in the early 1900s, and everyone was surprised by this amazing creation. The phone first appeared in 1982, however, not a lot of people were able to purchase it, because of the extravagant price, but it became more accessible to people as time passed. Both of these creations have a major impact on the lives of people, because the phone revolutionizes…

The reason these inventors were so significant was because without them there would not be a smooth process in the U. S today. Edwin Drake actually created the very first oil well, if you think about it who knows how long it would have taken to have found that and what we would do if it wasn’t found. Thomas Edison created the photograph, the light bulb and the motion picture. If we think about that also, who knows how our household would be without the light bulb and how our memories would be captured without a photograph. Even Alexander Bell who created the telephone, how would we communicate? The point that I’m making is that a lot of things would not be the way they are if it wasn’t for a lot of these significant people. Our world would be upside down if we didn’t have all these new and old inventions within our world. An also the incentives for the inventors and the U.S was that people were going to buy these things and money would come back to…

As Joe Barton once said, “Our flag honors those who have fought to protect it, and is a reminder of the sacrifice of our nation’s founders heros.” Our flag is not to be knelt upon, but to stand as one together, remembering how Veterans risked their lives everyday to go to war and give us freedom today. The least we can do is to thank you. You gave me a future, freedom of speech, and an education, and so many more things.…

America’s Gift to My Generation John Quincy Adams once said, “You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.” I believe what he is trying to explain is that our freedom’s price was far too costly for it not to be taken advantage of. His quote provided a sufficient amount of evidence for me to prove that freedom is a very generous gift from America.…

Do you know when our national anthem first came to be the official anthem of the United States of America? The anthem was written by Francis Scott Key and became the official American anthem on March 3, 1931. America's gift to my generation is freedom of expression. Freedom of expression means we have the right to express our opinions in many ways. Currently, the professional football players of our nation seem to be using their freedom of expression to, in my opinion, disgrace our country's anthem.…

Then when they were adults and no longer sheltered under their parents’ care, they learned that the world was not as they had been led by to believe. This caused them to seek to change it and rebel and challenge the authority of the previous generation. This is the generation that created ours, and their rebellion and their focus on change for equality made ours possible. This document supports both my and Stein’s argument that each generation is just adapting to their own environment. Slightly changing focus from values to valuables, also known as material items or technology and how this also shaped an earlier generation. There was an interesting section in an excerpt from Life Magazine that we reviewed in the discussion assignment.…
