America Gift To My Generation
America Gift to My Generation
American soldiers are everything, They are our community they are the history they are the future. They are the reason why we are even writing this essay. I am so thankful for the people who have served because if it wasn't for them we would be somewhere else, we could be in another country, we could be slaves. Soldiers are one of the keys to life, some people just want everything so they think that they can just take it and the US soldiers are the ones that stop that and make sure it doesn't happen again.
People who serve in the military have to be fearless and very brave, they are risking their lives. The people who serve should be famous because if no one served we would all be dead. Our military fights

In some occasions people see those types of people as soldiers then heroes then tend to see them as celebrities while at the end of the day they treat them as just like any other ordinary person once they get tired of them or when they tend to over the fact that they put their lives as risk for their people and country no matter the consequences that that may have or bring to…

For my book report, I read the book War Heroes Voices from Iraq by Allan Zullo. The author interviewed ten soldiers about the time they spent in Iraq. The book tells ten different real life stories of soldiers and what amazing things they did in Iraq. The one thing all of these soldiers have in common is that they thought they were just doing their jobs. These soldiers are true heroes because each of them risked their own lives to save others and to protect our country. Even though a lot of soldiers would do that, not all survive to tell about it.…

When organizing the Veterans assembly I would have never thought that so many veterans and community members would be so greatly impacted. While the assembly was taking place there where many Veterans who cried throughout the event, the impact this activity had on them was that we showed them how thankful we are for the things that they did for us even when they did not know us. This impacted them because it showed them that they are people who we are thankful for because without them our country would not be the great place it is today. This activity made them see that all of their hard work and suffering was worth it, and that future generations are willing to give them the respect that they deserve.…

I very much admire men and women who believe in a higher calling. I have a deep respect for those who are willing to put their lives in danger to protect those who may not be able to protect themselves. How awesomely honorable are those who serve and support their fellow humans? Most importantly, I am indebted to those who have given their lives for this cause. They have given us so many freedoms; our ability to walk down the street, go into a store, buy some milk, and then bring back home in peace is possible today because of the sacrifice. We move freely under the blanket of protection that uniformed members have provided for us. I can never thank you…

    A Soldiers Thoughts

Zachary Scott-Singley wrote an essay called “A Soldiers Thoughts”. His essay was based on his inner thoughts and questions, how he should and shouldn’t feel about war. Is war right or wrong? Are these people truly the enemy? What would you do to stay alive? I feel war leaves these questions open to discussion and defiantly can change based on the person and the involvement; but the work of war can change a person’s values and morals.…

I think American veterans should be honored for several key reasons. The first and foremost reason is that these brave men and women risked ther lives for the freedom of the United States, or even for the freedom of a country half way around the world, which they knew nothing about. Either way these soilders fought for freedom, and each one should be honored one way or another. Another reason veterans should be commended is because we never want to repeat the time when Vietnam war veterans came back to the states. They were treated terribly. They were spit on, objects were thrown at them, they were denied of jobs by people who resented the war, etc. Yet another reason is that these people fight so the rest of us don't have to. These people also keep the wars over seas, so us citizens can sleep safely at night. Also, some soilders see some really traumatizing things. Either seeing their buddies die right in front of them. Anyone who has seen Saving Private Ryan has a pretty good idea of what some soilders witness.…

When Francis Scott Key wrote the star spangled banner almost two hundred years ago, he called America "the land of the free and the home of the brave." Those words still stand strong today as they did back then. Throughout our history American soldiers, marines, air force, and coastguards have answered to defend for our freedom and rights. That is why we as Americans should respect our veterans and thank them for what they have done for all of…

American veterans served our country, sacrificed their lives for our freedom, and gave Americans all of the astonishing rights and freedom that we appreciate and enjoy today. Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is the right to question and change the established way of doing things.” Thanks to American veterans, we are able to have that right and many other rights that they have earned for us. Some people may say money, or shelter is the most important thing in the world. Honestly, it is the American veterans because we wouldn’t have all of the amazing things in the world if it wasn’t for them. American Veterans are the “apple of the eye” of America for their bravery and heart, for serving in the military and risking their lives for our freedom.…

Freedom, independence, security, and safety must be fought for and protected on a daily basis. Our military is made up of the valiant people who sacrifice their own health, education, and life and are devoted to something greater than themselves, the United States of America. When veteran’s talk to others about their past experiences, it helps teach us about America’s past and how we should have a hope for our future. Former and current servicemen continue to live by “sacrifice over self,” which is a strong message that has bound our veterans together for years. Because of our military’s sacrifices to the United States of America, we have freedom and liberation today and a greater faith for the future.…
