On November 1, 2007 sometime in the middle of the night to mid-morning, Meredith Kercher was aggressively killed in her apartment in Perugia Italy. Meredith was an English exchange student living in Italy with an American student, Amanda Knox. Amanda and Meredith had been roommates for a short time. They had only began their year as a foreign exchange students and only known each other for a number of weeks when life went from exciting and fun to nonexistent for Meredith and a living nightmare for Amanda. The series of events after the murder of the young girl shattered the lives of several people involved in her life. The events were based on strange behaviors by Amanda, others falsely accused with bad evidence and three people in an Italian prison.
Amanda Knox had just met a new Italian boyfriend days before the murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher. Kercher was a British student, like Knox studying abroad in Italy in the year of 2007. Both ladies young, barely out of high school, with a whole life ahead of them. On this November morning Knox returned from her boyfriend’s house to find an open door, and blood.
