All Good Music Festival & Campout 2013
Every year on the third weekend of July, Thornville, Ohio becomes a festival ground for the very eccentric hippies and tree huggers. The All Good Music Festival & Campout comes to town. The festival used to be held in Masontown, WV. From the music to camping, and the vendors, the festival is something everyone should experience. My first experience was the summer of 2013.
One of the most important reasons All Good even exists is for the music. There was more than 35 artists or groups there to perform. Among those artists were groups and artists, such as the John Butler Trio, Pretty Lights, Keller Williams, STS9, Primus, and Further featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Wier of The Grateful Dead. Further was one of the headlining bands and one of the best shows I have ever seen. I never would’ve imagined I would have the chance to see part of The Grateful Dead perform. It was a once in a lifetime chance and I am glad I got to share it with the people I was with. You could even hear the music from your camp site.
One of the best things about the festival is the camping. We arrived at the gate at 6:46 a.m. We were the 32nd car through the gate and we parked and ran to get a prime spot. We found a shady spot under the trees and set up camp. Luckily we found a good spot because the main camping area was in the sun and it became extremely hot. Throughout the weekend we met thousands of people walking passed out camp to the main venue. Many of them had things to sell other than illegal substances, such as jewelry, t-shirts, and paintings. They had many things that the vendors had but at much cheaper prices.
There was a wide variety of items sold but authorized vendors. There was clothing, food, jewelry, and much more. My favorite was the holographic posters. They were very…trippy for lack of a better term. If it weren’t for them being very expensive, I would fill my whole house with them.
In conclusion, if you want to have hell of a

A good electric guitar player is part of the group as well. They also at one point had a woman with a nice singing voice perform with them. She sing several songs with them. Next, I found out why they had the Bad New Jazz & Blues Orchestra again at the festival. In the band, one member acted as their conductor. Several individuals play saxophone. A couple of individuals plays horns. Three trumbones are involve, a woman sings well in the band and unlike Space Train had key board player in it. The trumpet players were good and I am not what you call a fan of them. In fact, I like the singing of this woman better than the singer in Space Train. It was very well organized orchestra. People in the audience must have agree because a couple…

Before we ordered food, I saw two types of food they people were ordering. One was called an Indian taco and another one was called a frybread. We ordered two Indian tacos and I personally liked it especially the frybread. This frybread can be a desert as well if you put honey or anything else as if it was a combination of crepe and funnel cake As we walked around the vendors, we saw varieties of items that they were selling including jewelry, instruments, bags, clothes, decorations, accessories, and other miscellaneous items that my dad and Grandpa bought in the end. They both bought a sturdy and well-made slingshot which reminded them of their childhood days in Korea which I did not want to participate at all. I personally wanted to buy some jewelry but it took me too long to decide so, in the end, I lost my chance and had to go back…

When I think Woodstock, I think of more than a moment in time, more than just 500,00+ kids gathering to take in one area to listen to great music. When I think of Woodstock, I think of a revolution, or even a legacy that changed the way that people lived their lives. Something significent that I learned about woodstock is that it was moved 31 days before the fastival started. That must have been more then a wrench in their operations. They were expecting over 200,000 people whom most already bought tickets, and instead of giving up, found a better place within hours. I feel like thats dedication, and It could have set the tempo for the 'love' feeling that this culture was adapting. Michael Lang held his composure and handled everything with good vibes which was perfect for the theme of this “woodstock generation”.…

Instead of having a terrible time, it was the best time I had all summer. Little did I know, this would be an event I couldn’t wait to return to the next summer. I signed up for keyboard and on the first day, everyone played a song to determine what band they would be in. I immediately thought I was the worst one there. At the end of the day, they asked if anyone would be interested in singing backup and I didn’t even think about doing it. I thought it would be terrible.…
