Alice is dead

Prologue

“She is awake” Says the Queen, staring curiously at the screen.
“Yes, the girl is quite a tough cookie.” The scientist mumbles.
The screen shows a young girl fiddling with a piece of fabric on the floor.
The Queen turns to look at him. “And how was she able to survive the poison exactly?”
“Well, my majesty, she seems to have developed immunity to the arsenic we put in her food. “We think this might be because she came from abov-“
“You do not think about saying THAT word ever again! Do you hear me!?”. The Queen yells.
The scientist nods frantically and then shades his face with his hand.
“Now you will have the girl dead by tomorrow otherwise you are ALL to be sent to the pit!”
The Scientist gasps. “But miss I-“
“DO YOU HEAR ME OR NOT!”
“Yes, yes I do my majesty. I will alert my colleagues right away!”
“Just get out of my sight before I change my mind.”

Although I can’t really tell what is real anymore. It seems like there is no difference between waking and unconsciousness. I start to play with the fabric that is in my cell. The camera in the corner of the room moves. I stare intently wondering who could be behind the screen. My eyes dart to the body lying in the corner of the room. I think the person-or whatever it is-is starting to rot. I can smell the stench from here. The creature is tall and has tentacles protruding from his back with spikes on the end. His skin is covered with black bruise-like rashes. His name is-or was Lewis I think. According to the nametag on his chest. I don’t know what he did to get here. Life in the cell isn’t so bad. There is a dead body in the corner, a surveillance camera and I may have a form of amnesia but it could be worse… I guess. So far I have been in here for 3 days and 2 hours. I think. I go back to playing with the fabric on the floor and hear a loud smash from behind the wall. I can hear cursing. A small rectangular hole is cut through the

As I observed his ghastly shadow I saw that he was over 8 feet tall. He had huge claws so each on looked like a dagger itself, ripping and tearing at the flesh of my fellow companions. He had long horns that curled inwards like a rams horns. He had a long, scaly like tail that swung and whipped in the air followed by a flop on the ground in a joyless motion, as if it too, like the monster, was thrilled to taste the succulent human blood flowing over the tongue and trickling down the throat.…

I see myself laying down and looking at the sky. It looked like I was in heaven. When I got up I saw a house. I went inside and saw a paper. It said that my mission is to kill the Ender Dragon. I didn't know a thing about Ender Dragon. I searched the house and looked at the world. the world was made up of blocks. Not one block or two blocks. Thousands of them. Haphazardly I realized that I was in mine-craft. A game that I used to play this game when I was seven years old. I thought that it was only a dream, so I tried to wake myself up. But I couldn't. I still thought that it was a dream and went with it. Near me was a waterfall and some chickens. I went in my house. There was a chest, laying there, and I opened the chest. When I opened…

I am helpless and powerless. I have failed in my duties of caring for my Queen. I have allowed her to slowly suffer in her tormented mind; I have allowed her spirit to crumble and her soul to be lost forever. I am simply a servant of my Queen; I have tended and comforted her since she married into the Macbeth house. Where as many young girls are worried about their pre-arranged marriage; so too was my lady until she saw Macbeth and swore that she had fallen in love. I have been there by her side for many years; I have seen her fall in love; I have seen her lose her loved ones. I was there the very day we drove away from her family, I sat with her the whole journey sitting quietly as I watched gentle tears fall down her face. It was that day that I saw how strong spirited she was. In my many years of my service and loyalty, I have not before witnessed such dark and dreary things, such crumbling of spirit and soul.…

A Doll's House ends an abrupt slamming of the door. Nora decides to abandon her husband and kids, and takes off into the snow to make her own way in the world. That is a very bold decision. I might even call it foolish: she doesn't have a job, not a whole lot of skills, no home, no prospects and no money. By her own admission she can’t make any choices by herself so she goes ahead and makes this drastic pronouncement. By making this determination, she's ostracizing herself from the society she's always been a part of. Most "respectable" people just aren't going to socialize with her. The comfortable life she's leading will be totally destroyed. So, why does she do such a thing?…
