INTRODUCTION
Organizational behavior management (OBM) is an important aspect of management which applies psychological principles of organizational behavior and the experimental analysis of behavior to organizations to improve individual and group performance and worker safety. The study of organizational behavior relates to the expected behavior of an individual in the organization. No two individuals are likely to behave in the same manner in a particular work situation. It is the predictability of a manager about the expected behavior of an individual.
The field of the organizational behavior does not depend upon deductions based on gut feelings but attempts to gather information regarding an issue in a scientific manner under controlled conditions. It uses information and interprets the findings so that the behavior of an individual and group can be canalized as desired in an organization.
Definition:
Organizational behavior is a field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups and organizational structure have on behavior within the organization for the purpose of applying such knowledge towards improving an organizational effectiveness.
However, Organizational Behavior involves integration of studies undertaken relating to behavioural sciences like psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, social psychology and political science.
Therefore, organizational behavior is a comprehensive field of study in which individual, group and organizational structure
