Alexander The Great: Was Alexander A Good Leader?

In history its not just about the great things that were achieved and what was accomplished, its also about who did it and why.?.. Throughout history several wars were fought, one well known leader who fought these wars was Alexander The “Great” Even though Alexander had achieved a lot in his life as a leader did he deserve the “Great” at the end of his name.? To be great as a person and as a leader it means to be Honorable, Brave, Ambitious and Virtuous. Did he have those qualities of being great.? Was he a good enough leader?
(In Primary Source 1) The friends of king Philip, and the community of Macedonia learned that Alexander was going to be different than many leaders when Alexander tamed his father's horse when no one else could. King Philip would not allow anyone to mount his horse, for he thought the horse was wild and unmanageable, but
Arrian believed that Alexander remained focused on his conquests, and if there were no other competition than Alexander himself, he would show his worthy of honor by defeating himself, this is shown by this quote- ( “and if there had been no other competition, he would have competed against himself) This source shows that Alexander is a very honorable and selfless leader that is willing to show his honor by competing against himself.
Primary source 3 shows that Alexander was one of the best known military leaders in ancient history. He was an amazing military leader, his military was well organized. Alexander lead his army from the front and encircled the persians with the cavalry while the infantry pressed forward at the persians, his tactic was very successful. Alexander inspired his soldiers to overcome incredible odds, facing armies vastly larger, marching into the unknown. He invented new formations, and used his battlefield successes to accomplish his strategic goals. He was more successful than any of the other "great"
