Alex Hibbs Case Summary
This case discussed a confrontation between an employee Alex Fuhrman and his

colleague, Christopher Hibbs in Uvex Corporation. Alex Fuhrman would commence a

lawsuit against one of Frederick Fontaine’s division employees, Christopher Hibbs

and Uvex Corporation. Frederick Fontaine was West Coast division manager for the

Uvex Corporation. And the Uvex Corporation started as a small family-owned

medical centre on the southwest coast. The father and son recruited only the best

physicians in their field to expand the enterprise across the nation. Last year, this

strategy paid off in revenues of $750 million. The company’s research labs were at the leading edge of cancer research in North America. Alex Fuhrman graduated from an MBA program and joined the Uvex Corporation as its director of accounting and

But Alex became an administrator and Hibbs was hired for the accounting manager. When Hibbs worked, he doubted Alex was the person who made fund missing and made their relationship bad. That cause the Corporation developed slowly and have many problems. The purpose of organizational structure was to divide work into various distinct tasks to be performed and to coordinate these tasks to accomplish the overall objectives of the organization. An effective organization structure must have many managers and employees to build. A memo caused Alex make a lawsuit to against Hibbs and Uvex Corporation, because he may thought the newest organizational structure was not suit him. And Hibbs became the new accounting manager and made many changes to Alex former accounting system. Then he found some problems and sent to the controller. The two people did their things by themselves and didn’t make a discussion with their manager. At last, the lawsuit would commence and could not
