Materials
The material that used in structure of Aldwych House is clad in zinc due to responding to the building’s “classical composition” of the main elevation.
7.1.3. Roof Shapes
“This is an area of London where rooftop extensions are not commonplace and we’re delighted that our design convinced the committee that bold transformations of rooflines, which are designed with sensitivity and conviction, are a viable option,” stated Dan Burr, Partner at Sheppard Robson (Figure 04). Rooftop extension of Aldwych House situated within the Westminster Conservation Area - will add 8,500 square feet of high-quality office and reception space by installing a series of geometrical-folded forms on top of the landmark Midtown office building.

7.2.1. Structure design
The structure of rooftop extension of 1010 building designed and executed with durable elements. Structure of the new addition is made by steel which is joined with Plate, and screw and clinch to historical building structure. “In addition, the Skin of the roofs was done with big alucobond elements in fire protection category A2. It is directly shaped and fixed on/next to the roof. Perfect process without any tolerance according to the size of the elements and without logistic problems in the historical city of Vienna”, producer mentioned (Figure 06). 7.2.2. Materials
First, The Skin of the roofs was done with big Alucobond elements in fire protection category A2. It is directly shaped and fixed on/next to the roof. Perfect process without any tolerance according to the size of the elements and without logistic problems in the historical city of Vienna. Moreover, aluminum does not need protection against corrosion. The other material that used in this building is Silent Gliss which is an innovative and appropriate material. This material has been used in this building that is suitable for Vienna
