Alchemist And Brotherhood Essay
FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST! (And Brotherhood of course.)

Basic Information:
So first a little backstory on the Manga. The first volume was published on Janurary 22nd, 2002, and the last was published on November 22nd, 2010 in Japan. Then Viz Media started publishing the english version, having the first volume published on May 3rd, 2005, and the last on December 20th, 2 011.
On October 4th, 2003, they started an Anime adaption of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga. Because the Manga had just started 2 years ago, the Manga and the Anime turned out very different. So on April 5th, 2009, they made a second adaption of the manga with the name Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

SOUNDTRACK
FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST:
I don't remember very much of the soundtrack for Fullmetal Alchemist, but I do remember I almost completely memorized the 2nd intro's english lyrics, so I think it's probably good.

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD
The overall background music in the show always fits and in emotional scenes makes it even more emotional.
As for the intros and outros, they're all amazing. The outros are usually a little to calm for me, but I like listening to the 1st one and it really does fit the mood of the entire series. The 4th outro made me rock out at like 6am. And the 3rd intro. THE 3RD INTRO MAN.
FUN FACTS:
The voice actors for Alphonse Elric and Scar(and even more minor characters like Nina and Mrs. Bradley) are different from Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood's voice actors. And Alphonse Elric's voice actor and is a male voice actor in Fullmetal Alchemist, and is a female voice actor in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

The songs with political tones were pretty interesting to me too since I had never heard any of them before. I was also a little bit surprised when the sacred music did not have instrumental accompaniment, because I am so used to hearing it with church music. The martial music was fun to listen to, especially Yankee Doodle because it is so familiar with the words that were later added to it.…

The first day of shooting the film was on 24th May 1976 but before this many decisions had to be made. Matt Carroll, the producer had to get permission from the author of the book, Colin Thiele who wrote the book in 1963. Once he got permission he had to find the right scriptwriter who could capture the true spirit of the book. Because the book tells the reader a lot of descriptions of the scenery, the film could show the audience in one shot what was written on pages so quite quickly a large section of the book was shown. To make the book into a full-length feature film the scriptwriter had to make the film longer. Sonia Borg became the script writer and to achieve a longer film she introduce new incidents and new characters, and to give more details about some questions which were only mentioned briefly in the book.…

Number Two: “Kung Fu Fighting” by Carl Douglas. This funky disco tune is perfect when the characters in a scene will be having a wacky style of fighting. Featured on mock martial artistry movies like in Beverly Hills Ninja or Kung Fu Panda 2, this song is commonly inserted to a scene when no one knows Kung Fu or even a good fighter. In Horrible Bosses, it was Pellit’s ringtone which leads toHarkin to find him and kill him.…

The next character that adds a song to the soundtrack is Bennet Omalu. Bennett is a fiery doctor who was opposing the NFL, on the side of safety for the players. He didn’t care if people were talking down on him or trying to disprove his research, he just keep his head high and pushed through. A song that resembles his personality is called “Not Afraid” by Eminem. The first line pretty much sums up not just the song but “I’m not afraid...to take a stand”…

In the opening credits, a version of the song “If I Didn’t Have You “ – Billy Crystal & John Goodman in score was used to foreshadow the characters that would be introduced, their relationship and the original song played at the end of the movie. At the beginning of the movie there were many scores used as character themes like “Sulley & Mike” and “Randall Appears.” Because of the character Randall’s theme the audience assumed that he was character with malevolent intentions. “Enter the Heroes” was another character theme that expressed the excitement and the good preceded to obtaining the children’s screams, the music featured violins and trumpets with loud thunderous notes of glee to intensify the moment.…

The first thing that set me off when giving these songs a try was the overwhelming instrumentals (heavy electric guitar and drum use) that made it hard to hear/understand the lyrics. Good instrumentals are important characteristics of a successful song, but don’t necessarily mean the song is bad without them. Next, I read along the lyrics while listening to the songs and I did not like the lyricism at all. The text spoke of death, agony, and other malicious acts being performed or felt by people.…
