Aisha Rodriguez Research Paper
My full name is Aisha Nicole Rodriguez, I was born on February 22, 2005 in Allentown PA, my parents raised me in Allentown my whole life. I am 12 years old and 5'2. I have blond, brown, black hair, and brown eyes. I live with my two parents, my 3 older brothers, and my brothers girlfriend. I played basketball for one year, I stop playing for a year cause I end of hurting my ankle, but now I want to do softball and play the violin. I have many hobbies, but I like basketball the most. Basketball is like my best friend. The first time I played it, I felt interested. I was so interested in playing basketball after watching my brother play, however, I started learning when I was 9 years old. So I kept doing it. Even if I didn't win, my coaches alway said "You can't win, unless you learn how to lose." When I was in 5th grade my brother inspired me to do that. I …show more content…
By setting goals and constantly reminding myself of them, I feel as though I work harder to achieve my goals. I have set many goals for myself, some of them I have accomplished but many of them I am still working on. One goal I have is to become more focused and better organized in my learning space. I want to be able to manage my time more effectively when it comes to taking care of my things at school. Education is another important aspect to succeeding in life and/or school. Without some kind of education, it is hard to achieve the skills/goals needed in the world. This brings me to my next goal, which is to finish school. People often say that the best things in life are free. I fully agree with this statement. Most people would choose to write about their role model (usually their mom). On the other hand my i have favorite things, its differnet from what people might think. But my favorite things are my eyes, my hair, my smile. These are my favorite features because their different, and their not like everyone

I have been playing basketball basically my whole life, it is has shaped me into the person I am today. I started with just a ball and a hoop in my cousins front yard. I would just chuck the ball at hoop for fun, horsing around with my cousins. In elementary and middle school I would play with my friends at recess shooting around, dribbling in circles for the fun of it. I was even better then most of the boys who would play with my group on the courts. When I entered high school that was when I realized I was truly in love with the game. High school was where it was taken to a whole 'nother level. I was introduced to the real dynamics of the sport, it was where I learned that if I really want to do something that I love I had to put my all into it. I had to prove that I was one-hundred percent committed to the game. Practicing everyday for two hours, and…

First, setting goals will help you focus on where you need to get to, instead of fooling around when you shouldn’t. I once read that having no goals to aim for is like shooting an arrow with no target, and it’s true. What are you aiming for in life if you have no dreams to reach? By setting goals, it will motivate you to keep going. Whether it’s for your education or in your career, you will want to keep pushing yourself so that you can become the best that you can. As Dr. O. Carl Simonton once said “Goals are simply tools to focus your energy in positive directions, these can be changed as your priorities change, new ones added, and others dropped.”…
