Airtel's Share The Load Advertisement Analysis
In Cannes, 2016 Airtel’s ‘Share The Load’ advertisement won the Bronze Lion award in the Creative Effectiveness category. The advertisement created an impact with audience through the message of sharing household responsibilities equally. If looked closely, the advertisement was developed in the stages of storyboarding and scriptwriting stages. Storyboarding is the stage where the concept is developed into a story and scriptwriting binds the story to the theme before it is presented to the audience.

Storyboarding provides the much needed planning before execution. A storyboard allows the creator to imagine the shots that will appear in the video, the order they will appear and the interaction between the visuals and the script.
Communication: Communication is vital anywhere, most of the time problems arises when there no or miscommunication. By creating a storyboard, the advertiser can show the clients what is exactly the message to be delivered. It is easier to change the storyboard as suggested by the client.
Steps to create a storyboard
1. Establish a timeline: Establishing the timeline of events as they will happen on the video on screen is the first step of creating a storyboard. It is important to make a list of the events of the story in the order of their narration. If the storyboard is being developed for an advertisement, the advertiser need to what scenes will occur and in what order, thus creating a sequence of events.
2. Identify key scenes in the story: A storyboard is developed to give the developer a gist of the story will unfold. The key parts of the story are demonstrated through the storyboard, there the following key elements should always be highlighted:
