Compare and Contrast Essay Airplanes are one of the greatest inventions of transportation. It is great to get in one of those fascinating machines and get up in the air flying over the clouds like I’m superman. The invention of the car has made our lives today so much easier. It can be compared to the plane in many ways such as comfort, looks, and speed. Most important, the airplane feels real good because of the cushioned seats that it has on the plane to sit on. The car also has cushioned seats inside of it to sit on but it also has self heated seats depending on what kind of car you decide to buy. The airplane and the car also has air conditioning inside of it to make you feel even more comfortable when you are traveling from place to place. Also, the airplane looks very different from a car. An airplane is a lot bigger than a car. And it is shaped differently than a car. For instance an airplane has 2 large wings on each side of it and the car has no wings and is more of in a box shape and has 4 wheels by which it travels on.

Third, is that the speed of the two modes of transportation is very different when it comes to speed. First, the airplane is a lot faster than the car. An airplanes can travel from 200mph to about 3000mph depending on what airplane you are flying. But a car can only travel about 130mph to 300mph depending on what kind of car you are driving. In conclusion, Airplanes is a great way of transportation. Airplanes is great to travel in and is way faster than traveling in a car. Airplanes is faster than a car, it looks different than a car, and is more comfortable. Airplanes is great and everyone should try it at least once in there life.

Cars are designed to transport people in comfort. Some cars, called vans, are designed with more seating and legroom thus they are able to fit more people. Cars are made different not only by the looks but also in size. A car is usually smaller and with that comes the advantage of better gas prices and better mileage. Thus traveling long distances in a car is cheaper. Cars also have rear, front, and all wheel drive. A car's engine is also not very strong. A car typically has 4 doors and a trunk…

During World War I, about all the airplane was good for was crashing. World War I airplanes were slow and had poor maneuverability. The plane could not effectively carry weapons, so air travel was dangerous. The early planes had wood and fabric frames which made them very flammable. If a bomb, which was carried under the wings, was shot, the plane would blow up and both pilots would be dead. “It seems no one had interest in the bomb positions of these planes.” (Stirling, Para. 1) Though World War II planes also had the same potential to blow up if shot, they were much, much better because of their aluminum frames, and protected engines.…

Airplanes have many good aspects. I have many good ideas of how to make the design of a regular airplane better. My first improvement of an airplane is to have fewer seats on it. There are usually 100-150 seats on an airplane. I feel that these many seats on an airplane are to many and it is to tight an uncomfortable for people. I want to make it 50-100 seats so the people have more space and are comfortable. This will provide more space for the people and make them have an easy and soothing ride. My second improvement for an airplane is it to be nicer quality. Instead of the seats they use now, I want to change it to a bigger and more comfortable seat. This will make the customers enjoy the flight, and be happy when they get off. My third improvement for an airplane is for it to go faster. I will get a better and faster engine that will get people to their…

At any given moment, roughly 5,000 airplanes crisscross the skies above the United States alone, amounting to an estimated 64 million commercial and private takeoffs every year (source: NATCA). Considering the rest of the world 's flight activity, the grand total is almost incalculable. In order to understand how airplanes fly, we must break down the parts of an airplane and understand the physics behind the airplanes most important components: the engine/propeller, and the wings.…

It cost $5 for a one way trip across Tampa Bay which was called St. Petersburg. They provided the public with two trips per day and for four months. Compared with the two hour boat road the twenty three minute plane ride was much preferred by travelers.…

Since the invention of T Model Cars by Henry Ford in 1908, humans are increasingly regards cars as one of the most important needs in modern life. Oxford Dictionaries noted the definition of cars as “a road vehicle, typically with four wheels, powered by an internal-combustion engine and able to carry a small number of people”. The Wikipedia free translation said that “An automobile, auto car, motor car or car is a wheeled motor vehicle used for transporting passengers, which also carries its own engine or motor. Most definitions of the term specify that automobiles are designed to run primarily on roads, to have seating for one to eight people, to typically have four wheels, and to be constructed principally for the transport of people rather than goods”. From definition that mentioned, we can conclude that they are talking mostly the same things about cars or automobile. It must be transporting small number of people and it must have minimum four wheels so that we can call it cars.…

The invention of airplane was a long process. It took lot of effort and patience. Leonardo Da Vinci did some research in the 1400’s that held the engineering of many gliders done by George Cayley, Otto Lilienthal and the Wrights brothers. George Cayley made the first glider capable of carrying a human. Otto Lilienthal marked the beginning of the experimental period of active research on heavier-than-air flight. His efforts and successes lent others the courage to follow on his footsteps. Finally, the Wright brothers succeeded in the first heavier-than-air craft to fly.…
