Aims and objectives of businesses
INTRODUCTION TO MY ASSIGNMENT. In this assignment aims and objectives of five different businesses will be looked at. I will also be writing a report at purposes of a business if they’re growing? Surviving? Selling things? Or services? And finally providing a detailed study of one of the businesses. If it is meeting its aims and objectives or not, making a judgement overall by using evidences to back up my findings.

P2: A report to describe the purpose of setting aims and objectives for different businesses.

1. GRANT THORNTON: It is a for profit making company. Their aim is to offer services like award winning audit, tax and specialist advisory services to privately held businesses public interest entities and individuals. They do the accounts for PLC companies as well. Grant Thornton teams have got over 26 offices across the UK as well as in the Islands such as British Virgin Island and the Cayman Islands as well. Internationally Grant Thornton has more than 600 offices in over 100 countries.

2. SPECSAVERS : Again this is a for profit making company, which provides products such as spectacles and lenses and also services such as hearing care and eye sight at an affordable price. Specsavers aim towards making their customers to be happy with their purchase, they also give a three month no quibble, no fuss guarantee to their customers. Specsavers is one of the UK’s most leading opticians. And that they have stores up and down the country. They are internationally recognized and also there are more than 1,700 partners in the UK and republic of Ireland alone, of whom 548 have been with the Partnership for at least ten years.

3. NHS (National Health Service) : It is a not for profit type of business. It gives advice to people about illnesses, diseases and smoking etc. They offer free health care to the UK which is a unique service. It helps everyone in the country including all groups i.e teenagers etc.
