1. Age of Empires II: The Conquerors, published by Microsoft in 2000, is the second game in the Age of Empires series.
2. My favorite definition of a game written by Greg Costikyan: “A game is a form of art in which players make decisions in order to manage resources through game tokens in pursuit of a goal”. His definition of a game directly applies to Age of Empires II because player’s decisions in manipulating tokens (the game tokens here would be all units such as villager, monk, king; and the resources would be wood, goal, stone, and food) and managing resources is the key to achieving goal in this game, that is, to conquer the world. 5. When Age of Empires was released over a decade ago, it ran perfectly in 256MB VGA and 512 RAM. So most PC/Mac that is currently available on the market today will definitely meets the minimum system requirement of the game and that includes my PC as well. And since the game was designed to run on Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems platform, and play with a mouse and keyboard, the hardware I used to play this game is well suited to the requirements of the game.
6. Sunny is a 12-years-old school boy, youngest of three boys in the household. Sunny don’t get to watch a lot of TV in the house, but that’s OK, Sunny thinks computers are really

fun and actually prefers the PC to the TV. Sunny likes to spend a lot of time playing video games with his brothers after school whether it be Command & Conquer or
StarCraft. Since his dad likes to play board games such as Chess and Checkers, he sometimes plays those with him. Sunny likes Chess but his favorite broad game is
Battleship. Sunny occasionally build physical models such as tanks and battleships

The fact that most of the games he played and models he built are related to military tells us that Sunny is creative and likes battles.
8. One of the gameplay gestalts that I observed when playing this game would be to create an army consists of all Knights (Cavalier, Paladin). I find the knights to be very effective in launching surprise attacks as well as learning new information about my enemies. That is not to say I cannot use them for face-to-face attack or defend. With its high attack, HP, and natural armor, Knights can easily stand up again most opposition. Because the quicker I can protect my kingdom, the more villagers and buildings I can save, I always choose Franks to be my country.
9. It is possible for a player to control everything in the game with a mouse so if I were to teach a friend how to play this game, I would simplify the rules by saying: Your goal in
Age of Empires is to conquer your opponents in a given map. For that you need an army, to build an army you will spend time gathering resources such as food and gold, as well as building training camps that will enable you to recruit and train soldiers. You will

From the 1200’s BCE to 1300 AD, empires grew into existence and fell to destruction. They changed the systems of politics and warfare, shifting through different styles of warfare and uses for the armies they built. Most empires had some sort of military force used to conquer, expand and protect their lands from “barbarians” or certain nomadic people groups. Some empires though, such as the Mongols, Chinese, and those that were apart of the Islamic Empire had specific and vast changes to their military’s role and origin over time.…

The Roman and Han Empires both had their differences and similarities. However their similarities out-weighed their differences by a large amount. Their governments, economies, traditions, even their ways of agriculture made them very similar but at the same time very different. A couple of things that made them similar are The Han and the Roman Empires was two of the most powerful empires to rule their respective parts of the world, however they both declined and failed. Another thing was that agriculture was the fundamental economic activity for wealth. A couple of differences were in The Han Empire; the merchant class in china was frequently disparaged and constrained by the government. The Romans were sort of a republic, where they got to choose their leader. Whereas to the Han Dynasty, power was passed down the family.…

From its earliest beginnings, the Islamic Empire established itself as a rival to the Byzantine Empire, capturing a large portion of Byzantine-controlled territory within the first few decades of its inception. In three or four paragraphs, compare and contrast the societies of the Byzantines and the Muslims in ONE of the following areas: politics, economics/trade, social structure/culture, religion. Why were the Muslims initially so successful in capturing territory from the Byzantine Empire? Why were they unable to destroy it until eight centuries after their initial conquests? Why do you think that neither the Byzantines nor the Muslims viewed Western Europe as a serious threat during the postclassical era?…

Without knights there would have been no sense of security for the people or the queen. They were more than men who wore their armor and rode horses, they were dominant and important. They may not have been ranked at the very top of the chain of society, but often could have felt like they were. They not only impacted their own time era, but have impacted the hundreds of years to follow. Books and movies are still written and made about them, which proves the importance they played.…

A new state-of-the-art system can also allow a user the same portability as a personal computer, but with a higher price tag. A new state-of-the-art computer system has Intel Core Duo P8400 Processor that operates at a speed of 2260 MHZ or more. State-of-the-art computers have massive amounts of storage for videos, photos, and music. Many of the new systems come in a variety of unique colors and textures to appeal to today’s consumers. Most of the larger systems are fast performers but lack in power and battery life. "The 8.2 pound VGN-AW230J/H may not be a powerful performer, but it eats like one, draining its battery in just 1 hour, 49 minutes in our tests” (Marrin, 2009, para. 3).…

First let’s start with the basics: how much is it going to cost? Immediately many people will tell you how expensive a Mac computer is and that a PC is so much cheaper. This I will have to agree with, but before we make that decision let’s break the PC and Mac down a bit. Mac computers come in a very short variety; you have the MacBook Air, MacBook, MacBook Pro, the Mac Mini micro desktop, the all in one iMac, and the Mac Pro power desktop. Not as many choices there as the PC and almost the entire line of Macs will carry at least $1,000 prices tags. Now that’s a very hefty price tag for a system that can’t be customized with the exception of what you get when you order it. PC’s on the other hand can range anywhere from $300 all the way to $3,000. But the main point here is how many options you have when it comes to choosing what you want with your computer. This will have to go to the PC’s for their variety of choices that can fit the budget of almost anybody.…
