Against Animal Testing Essay
Testing animals is not only cruel, torturous, and unfair but it also is pointless. Innocent poor animals are being captured, experimented on, and/or killed for our own selfishness. People assume that testing on animals is beneficial due to the fact that it has resulted in a few vaccines which work against certain diseases, and because it has been key to major medical advances but that is not always the case. Although there have been a few benefits, the majority of the time animal testing is ineffective for us humans! There are endless of reasons why animal testing should be put to an end, but three of the most important ones are its dangerous to humans, it is unreliable for our health, and it is just inhumane. The most common counterargument to animal testing, is that it plays a vital role in new medical advances. These arguments claim that it improves human health but as I mentioned before, animals do not absorb drugs the same way humans do. Animal testing does not guarantee a cure for diseases and it certainly isn’t always effective. Animals are being cut open and tortured out of curiosity, not for the well-being of humans. It is so unfair to put them through pain when they can’t even speak for themselves. People use them for their own selfish reasons and that need to end. Animal testing is abusive. Animal testing is animal cruelty. We are harming multiple species such as dogs, mice, rats, monkeys, and bunnies these animals will soon become extinct if this issue keeps continuing. They are forced to inhale chemicals, animals are injected with harsh compounds, and they are being killed. Animals are being blinded, injured, burned, deafened and infected with lethal diseases. It is unjust how people treat animals, they have feelings just as much as humans do. About a 115 million of animals are being tested on and one million of those animals are being killed every

Though animal testing should be banned from ever being practiced or used again, people still view it as a necessity despite all of the evidence against it. Animal testing requires inhumane, unsanitary, unsafe, or cruel conditions that if done to humans would be outlawed since they either reduce the quality of life or cause disease or death. Seeing that animals are living, breathing creatures that want to survive just as much as people do, assuming that test conditions are not good for human kind, then they are not good for any living creatures. Furthermore, they are inherently wrong by nature. Tolerating animal cruelty promotes the same insensitivity that allows cruelty to people, such as serial killers and the early incidents of animal torture.…

An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

The chemicals that they use on the animals could hurt or kill them. Over half of side effects cannot be detected in…

Animal testing has always been a big issue around the world. Some people think that it is okay for animals to be tested on while others don’t. What even is animal testing? Animal testing is where scientists find new medications and test them on the animals before humans. Why might scientists test them on animals first? So, that if something goes wrong, only the animal would suffer and not a human. I am a critic for animal testing. I believe that animals have a purpose to the world just as much as humans do. Even if people don’t like rodents, that doesn’t mean we need to try and potentially kill them. Animals are very important to this world just like everyone else.…

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. One compelling reason to put a stop to animal testing is it’s unreliable. In fact a drug tested safe on animals was released and turned out to be toxic.Surely if we are relying on animal testing to cure diseases, it should be almost 100% accurate so children or adults who end up taking that drug to help them with their illness don’t end up dead. Also animal and human systems are quite different, penicillin is toxic to guinea pigs.Penicillin a drug, we use is toxic to guinea pigs an animal that could have prevented this drug from coming out because a guinea pig could have tested it and clearly the animal would have a negative reaction. One final example is 92% of drugs approved for testing in human trials fails to be approved for human use.Clearly animal testing is unreliable.…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

    Animal Testing Is Wrong 1

Millions of animals are used every year for a wide variety of scientific and medical purposes. Some of this scientific research is to learn about and improve the welfare of animals, but most of the animal experiments are unfortunately conducted for human benefits. An estimated eight million animals are used in painful experiments, which can range from getting pricked with a needle to more severe experiments, and ten percent of these animals do not receive painkillers. Then after all of the pain that they had been put through, some of them are euthanized when scientists are no longer in need of experimenting on them. Animal rights advocates want government agencies to impose heavy restrictions on animal research, but their opposition of painful animal experimentation is matched by the growing concern that these restrictions would pose a threat to scientific progress. Although there has been scientific progress from this, animal testing is still cruel, immoral, and unnecessary because all animals, like humans, have value and are worthy of being treated with respect.…
