The federal laws beginning with the Sherman Act of 1890, the Clayton Act of 1914, the Robinson-Patman Act of 1936, and the Federal Trade Commission Act of 1914 which was created to encourage free-market system and safeguard against restriction of trade. The law are in place to preventing one company from becoming too powerful. Afterschool Depot do not have to be concern with customers directly, through retailers. However the obligation of a complicated purchase would be tackled quickly through performing functions such as sorting, branding, and mixing of products to reach excellent quality. Thirdly the afterschool depot can use the reduction of operational cost using retail positioning strategy to have a smooth workable environment. Afterschool Depot can rapidly go through retail positioning strategy with retailers that are secure in the market, as well as assisting with commercials of all products and services by establishing assistance to the customers. Afterschool depot are able to utilize the method use by retailer to get a product well known to all consumers. This will also allow the Afterschool depot an easier way to introduce other products that are created within the market. The multi- channel systems empower manufacturers to demonstrate high speed that meet the customer’s needs. Due to the advantage in pinpointing the correct retailer which will give the ability to allow businesses to penetrate in the markets.     Antitrust laws are federal and state government laws that regulate the conduct and organization or businesses. This helps promote fair competition for consumers. There are four main areas involving the antitrust laws that include agreements between competitors, contractual agreements between sellers and buyers, the restriction and maintenance of monopoly, and mergers. The Sherman Act, which is one of the main statutes, has a contract or agreement in the form of a trust, dealing with trade and commerce among numerous of states, or nations, is deemed illegal. Also, it states that any person who monopolize, or attempt to, conspire with any other person(s) to monopolize in trade commerce will be found guilty and charged with a felony. Both of these violations carry major penalties. For each corporation that violates the act may be fined up to $1 million. Likewise, any persons found guilty of a violation may be fined up to $100, 000 and/or imprisonment for up to three years. For corporations, it is hard to enforce this law due to lack of identification of a specific market to prove monopolization. It requires scrutiny of both the market and the product from the vantage point of both the consumer and other potential producers (Ecnomicae).
