Advantages And Disadvantages Of Solar Powered Refrigerator
1 Advantages and Disadvantages of Solar Powered Refrigerator
Most of the advantages of solar powered refrigerator are same with the other solar energy appliances. Therefore, the use of solar energy instead of electrical energy can save lots of electrical power which is generated from power plants. Besides that, using solar energy which is renewable and clean resource is minimize the environmental issues because it does not cause much pollution such as greenhouse effect, climate change, and global warming.
Solar powered refrigerator is much cheaper in running and maintenance costs compared to conventional refrigerator. It also operates silently and safer. On the other hand, it is very useful and able to work in any places especially in rural areas when there is no electric supplied.
However, there are some limitations and drawbacks on using solar powered refrigerator such as it can only operate in areas where strong sunlight is available. The other main disadvantage is solar powered refrigerator which is an intermittent system works on discontinuous cycle. The refrigeration process or ice-making process of the solar powered refrigerator can only take place during the night.
Moreover, this refrigeration system requires operating in low pressure, hence, the vacuum pump is needed to suck out the air in closed system. The efficiency of the solar powered refrigerator is also much lower than of the conventional refrigerator. The Coefficient of Performance (COP) is low and not constant in all the times. Last but not least, it requires lots of space to be occupied especially for the part of solar collector.

A benefit of solar energy is the location of where is may be situated. In urban areas solar panels can be fitted to rooftops as not to affect any recreational areas. For larger solar farms, great sized lots must be purchased in rural areas just to accommodate the mass number of panels. With the addition of solar panels properties can be run on and off the grid, meaning they do not have to be in connection with local power lines.…

It’s better in ways stated above. The big drawback is the cost of producing such technology. We haven’t perfected yet so we can’t produce them at a economical cost. Informing the people could push for this change. I, for one, didn’t know of the existence of solar homes until very recently. People could go through their entire lives without the knowledge of solar homes. This, of course, has led to a low demand for solar-passive homes which is why the housing market has yet to tunnel more funds in researching such homes. With the support of the people, more superior technological advances could be…

umerous ways are presented to conserve energy. The process of conserving energy is not only how but also on what to use for it. Solar energy is one alternative energy source that would be converted to electricity by the use of these solar panels. Most solar panels are using silicon to produce the panels. The cells that are contained in these solar panels are normally silicon. These individual cells are shrinking all the time and becoming cheaper to produce. Solar panels provide users with a source for their work. Applications of solar panels are presently economical where there is plenty of sunshine. They further added that solar panels help reduce reliance on fossil fuels and other depleting resources that are used to generate electricity. There are many reasons why most people use solar panels not only it is a source of clean, cheap, and renewable energy for our homes. Using solar panels can influence the capacity of our home supplies. This method allows us to generate additional electricity which can be fed into our current power systems, which will have the effect of reducing consumption from the national grid, saving you money in the process.…

Solar energy is lauded as an inexhaustible fuel source that if free of pollution and has very few adverse effects on the earth. An example states that big windows placed on the sunny side of a building allow sunlight to heat absorbent materials on the fllor and walls. These surfaces then release the heat at night to keep the building warm. Similarly, absorbent plates on a roof can heat liquid in tubes that supply a house with hot water. (National Geographic) In my own life, I have experienced the amazing power of solar energy. As a small child growing up in Guyana, South America, I remember taking cold showers in the morning. By the afternoon time, the sun would heat up our plastic, Rubbermaid water tanks and I would experience for a short period, ‘hot water.’ Of course, this has improved over the years, and many households in my country choose to apply solar water heaters to their homes. This helps to save on electricity and other costs.…

Solar energy is described as harnessing the sun's rays in a number of different ways. Solar energy is said to be very clean, quite safe and obviously free. The main method of capturing the sun's energy is through cells in solar panels, or pads. This energy is then converted to a direct current type of energy, the same as what is used in batteries. Solar power may be found on certain cars, some homes, and on RV's. Most people use it on their cars, as a trickle charger for their batteries, so that if they leave a small accessory on in their car, they will not return to a dead battery, and no way home. Solar energy lacks the need for waste disposal, as it does not produce any harmful by products, or emit dangerous fumes, or liquids. The problem with these solar energy panels is that they often break down, and they do not function properly many times. They are also very high in cost, and require much maintenance. When used in a residential setting, in order to receive high output by these panels, there needs to be a large amount of panels. These panels are normally sold…
