Adolf Hitler's Power During World War II

Adolf Hitler’s quest for totalitarian power over the whole world set in motion conquests that led to the Second World War, the effects of which are present to this day. Using the insult of Treaty of Versailles on Germany, the chaotic political system in Germany and the economic depression as a stepping stone, Hitler became the ultimate dictator of Germany. His greed for world domination also caused his defeat, forcing him to kill himself before the brink of defeat in the Second World War. Hitler, the ruthless dictator of Germany, began his rise to power during the period after the end of the First World War. It began with the rise of the Nazi Party, which was founded in March 1921, and whose symbol was a swastika. Hitler, the founder and leader of the Nazi Party also began the Hitler Youth Movement, which recruited many well-educated young men to become members of the party. (Freeman
(Davidson 5-6). The Nazis damaged synagogues and looted other businesses owned by the Jews. Many Jews tried to escape unsuccessfully from the Nazis (Davidson 22-23). Hitler began to expand his military by producing more weapons and building up a large army. He believed that Germany could expand and control the rest of the world. His first target was Czechoslovakia, followed by the Soviet Union, and finally the United States (“Adolf Hitler”). Under the leadership of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party, the Nazi Party practiced anti-Semitism by eliminating all Jews, (men, women, and children). They believed that eliminating Jews would purify their race and solve all economic problems in Germany (“anti-Semitism”). Hitler preached the idea that Jews were the cause of Germany’s defeat in WWI.
