During the early stages of growth, this being from birth to twelve years, one is considered a child. Parents and teachers play a particularly significant role in teaching the child the way of life. However, after thirteen years a child is no longer referred to as a child but a grown young adult. Although one does not stop learning at this age, one is considered to know the difference between wrong and right which are the foundations of life. At this age, a young adult is referred to as a teenager and knows the differences between what he or she should do and what not to do. There are three stages in adolescents. Young adults between the ages of thirteen and fourteen are considered to be in the early stages of adolescence. The young adults between the ages of fifteen and sixteen are considered to be in the middle of adolescences, Teenagers between seventeen and nineteen are considered to be in the late stages of adolescences (Reynolds, 2001).
During the first phases teenagers normally stick to groups of the same sex and avoid intermixing with the opposite sex. While they graduate to the second stage of adolescence, teenagers tend to spend most of their time with different sexes at this stage peer pressure is exceptionally high. For instance, in my own example I was influenced by what my friends were doing. However, due to constant guidance from my parents I was able to out grow peer pressure (Masoro, 2006). However, at this stage teenagers normally limit this interaction to just friends. During the third stage of adolescent, teenagers spend all their time with different sexes. Unlike the stage before, in this stage, different sexes become attracted to one another sexually. At this critical stage of adolescences, teenagers engage in social activities such as drinking and clubbing. Once one hits the twentieth year, one is no longer referred to a child at this stage one is referred to as a grown man or woman able to make choices that affect their lives.
It is during this age that one is goes out of the caring of the parents to peruse his or her own life. Mostly this is observed with the male more than the females. By the age of twenty five, one is considered to be grown enough to be able to make choices that will not only affect him, but also his family. At this age, research that has been done has shown that, most women tend to settle and get children. By the ages of thirty in the process of aging marriage and children become the main priority in many peoples life. At this age, one is expected to be financially stable to be able to provided for the family. The ages of thirty to forty five become extremely valuable in building once children future through making sure they are well provided for (Masoro, 2006).
At the age of fifty five, after the children have left the houses, one is left with enough time to himself. During this age, most people normally travel the world. At the age of sixty to seventy, one starts getting wrinkles all over the faces at this age one spends most of his time at home. The strengths that one hard once is gone, and one is left to the care of loved ones. By the age of ninety, once life is thought to be over and death becomes the reality (Reynolds, 2001).

    The crisis involved in this stage is identity versus role confusion (Schacter, 2011 p477). In other words, this is where they are concerned about what other people think of them. In this stage, the main groups that they are concerned with are their peers and our-groups. These groups are who they try to be like and impress as a way of being accepted (Gross, 2015 p639). For the duration of the adolescence stage, people tend to spend more time with their peers and less time with their parents. Many of their values and opinions will be influenced by their peers as this is who they are spending all of their time with.
