Topics include business quality management, the total quality system, management strategies for quality, engineering technology of quality, statistical technology of quality, implementing total quality management in the Manufacturing and service sector. A comparative analysis of five of the world's most influential theorists on the subject of total quality management: W. Edwards Deming, Philip Crosby, J.M. Juran, Armand Feigenbaum and Taguchi. The objective is to demonstrate, apply and integrate the knowledge gained in the BBA program. This course will be theme based, and focus on field studies, addressing issues of ongoing businesses and organizations.

The course introduces the technique and concepts of operations and supply chain management in decision making both in manufacturing and service sectors. The general quantitative tool that is taught in the course is optimization. In order to solve a business problem with optimization techniques, the student has to recognize what are the decision variables, the objective, and constraints of a given business problem. Moreover, the student has to identify, and model the relationship between the decision variables and the objective and constraints of the problem. Every business problem addressed in the course requires this process.
