My name is Adia Radecka and I am a junior at Walter Payton College Prep. H.S. in Chicago. I will be visiting Stanford this Friday and would like to observe a class. Would it be possible to sit in on a class this Friday? I am interested in the school of engineering, humanities, and science, and law, it would be wonderful if I could observe a class in one of those schools. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day!

Lincoln makes mention of many items that drive his view and position on the current happenings of the Civil War. These references calm his “Fellow-Countrymen” so to speak, and allow for the future to begin when his speech ends.…

Firstly, When I used to live in New York, my school didn't commemorate the Holocaust and I didn't know much about it. Therefore I am very happy that Shaarei Bina welcomes and commemorates the Holocaust. On top of that, I am very happy that Shaarei Bina, took us to this very memorial, heartbreaking trip. Although the atmosphere was very dismal, it is very important to learn about such a history shocking event. The video that the Holocaust Memorial offered us was very sad, informative and showed a little aspect of how the outside world or the Nazis abhorred the Jews.…

Spoken by Virginia Wolfe, this quote immaculately captures the overall importance of Aphra Behn to women everywhere. A British playwright, poet and novelist, Aphra Behn was a woman amongst men. Though there has been no shortage of speculation regarding the facts surrounding her birth and parents, it is widely accepted that she was born to Bartholomew Johnson and Elizabeth Denham on July 10, 1640 just outside of Canterbury, UK. The first of many strides towards breaking down the walls of gender stereotyping occurred when Behn took on a job as a spy for King Charles II—a job previously uncharacteristic for a woman to have. She was also known to be the first woman to ever be able to support herself finically solely from the earnings of her writings. Though these were indeed strides in…

I'm a storyteller. And I would like to tell you a few personal stories about what I like to call "the danger of the single story." I grew up on a university campus in eastern Nigeria. My mother says that I started reading at the age of two, although I think four is probably close to the truth. So I was an early reader, and what I read were British and American children's books.…

It fills my heart with joy unspeakable to rise in response to the warm and cordial welcome which you have given us. I thank you in the name the most ancient order of the monks in the world. I thank you in the name of the mother of religions; and I thank you in the name of the millions and millions of Hindu people of all classes and sects. My thanks, also to some of speakers on this platform who, referring to the delegates from the Orient, have told you that these men from far-off nations may well claim the honor of bearing to different lands the idea of toleration. I am proud to belong t a religion which has taught the world both tolerance ad universal acceptance. We believe not only in universal toleration, but we accept all religions as true. I am proud to belong to a nation which has sheltered and persecuted and the refugees of all religions and all nations. I am proud to tell you that we have gathered in our bosom the purest remnant of the Israelites who came to the southern India and took refuge with us in the very year in which the holy temple was scattered to pieces by the Roman tyranny. I am proud to belong to the religion which has sheltered and is still fostering the remnant of the grand Zoroastrian nation. I will quote to you, brethren, a few lines from the hymn which I remember to have repeated from my earliest childhood, which is every day repeated by millions of human beings:…

A very Good Morning respected principal, teachers n my dear friends. Today, we have gathered here to celebrate the 67th independence day of our country. It gives me immense pleasure as a citizen of India to share my views with u .67 years ago, on this day we engraved history n made a mark of our independence . Our nation breathed a sigh of relief but this independence was not an escapade to walk away with but a journey of tears, blood and sweat. It was a time where the whole nation came forward to sacrifice every strand of strength it had to pay for its freedom. We've had the greatest leaders of all times who led us on the path of freedom. we must never let their hardwork fade away. The fresh air of independence that we breath today is nothing but the fruit of their sacrifice and hard work.India, today is the largest democracy in the world. It comprises of 29 states and 7 union territories being the 7th largest country in the world area wise. We are a vast multi linguistic country with 780 languages and 86 scripts. We as Indians hold a great legacy to carry on. We have a freedom to defend , and a tale of selfless heroism of our freedom fighters to tell. Our nation is blessed with abundance of natural beauty as we are a tropical country. Its our ancestral property that we have to protect and the values of which have been cultivated through ages and for which we are known today. Our rich heritage is something that has taken centuries to create the mark of the kings n great rulers practicing the respected cultures and rituals here in India. India has been a liberal country, since a long time as all the religions allowed to be practised in India and we have had great part in justifying the word freedom in true sense. We have been one of the most peaceful civilization as India has never captured any kingdom or country whatsoever for the last 10000years like our peace,we belong to one of the most intelligent race,as games like chess ,snake and ladder, various other…
