Acute Care Setting Analysis
After a year of clinical rotations at different hospitals, I found myself enjoying the acute care setting. Within the hospital setting there are different units that draw my attention such as emergency room, medical surgical, and ICU. The patients within these units are all here for one reason, to get better and move on with their lives. Even though you don’t get to connect with your patients and their families as you would in a long term facility, you still help them get back on their feet. That alone is one of the most amazing feelings.
