The Acropolis is a very educational place to visit. It was built on top of a rocky hill in the 5th century BCE. This building was built in honor of Athena, the city’s goddess. This building is where Democracy, Philosophy, Theatre, Freedom of Expression and Speech, were born which provide to this day the mental and spiritual foundation for world and its values. It also has many monuments which have survived for almost twenty-five centuries through wars, explosions, fires, and earthquakes. All the things the Acropolis has been through makes it a very educational and fun place to visit.

The theatre was built in the late 4th century BC and it was finalized in two stages. It was originally built with 34 rows of seats divided into 34 blocks by stairs and walkways. It is said that it has such great acoustics because of the steps themselves. The steps act as “acoustic traps” which makes it easier for the spectators in the back of the theatre to hear. Because the theatre has such great acoustics it is still being used today, mostly for sight seeing and educational purposes but some still sing or act.
