Reagon and her boyfriend, Tyler, enjoy going out to eat at her favorite Mexican restaurant and enjoying quality time together. Reagon and Tyler also enjoy playing a few games of one-on-one, competitive basketball together. When Reagon was in high school at Mount Ida she was on the senior basketball team. One of her accomplishments was winning all-state in basketball her senior year. Also during Reagon’s senior year she got voted homecoming queen. Her dress was fully covered in lace and absolutely gorgeous. She was so thankful for that day. Reagon has a short term goal of having a 3.0 grade point average by the end of this spring semester. Her SAT scores were not high so she applied to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and much to her amazement she was accepted. Upon her arrival she met with her guidance counselor and explained her dream to become a brain surgeon. Her guidance counselor was not convinced after reviewing her SAT scores that she could become a brain surgeon. He didn’t think that she had what it takes to be a successful brain surgeon. College sports are very fun to watch when they come on. Especially when the games or events are at the decisive moments. Me personally I love to watch college volleyball, because it helps me change the way I play. Samantha Seliger Swenson was born February 4, 1997 in Minnetonka, Minnesota to Vicki and Erik Seliger Swenson and she is one of my favorite collegiate volleyball players . When Sam was young she experienced what teamwork really was after watching her mom coach players that were working together and pushing each other to get better every day. Also when Sam was young she lost her Aunt Teri Lee who was murdered by her ex boyfriend. This came after the loss of her uncle who passed away a couple years earlier due to a car crash. These events really motivated her to work hard and be the best she could be. The Seliger Swensons added on to their household 4 orphan cousins as a result of the passings of her aunt and uncle. They had rooms full of beds in their house and Sam said “It felt there was just one big bed big because all the beds had been so close together.’’ It wasn’t long before Vicki’s High School team contacted a show that improves on houses. The tv show agreed and expanded their three room house to a seven room house with 5,600 square feet. That was big enough for all the kids and parents.…

She worked really hard in all of her classes, but especially her nursing classes because she knew that the reward would pay off. Studying every time she could, she thought that she would have a chance at getting into the program. All of her hard work paid off and her GPA was really good, but most likely not good enough to get into Oshkosh’s nursing program the first semester she applied. She now faced a new problem; trying to figure out the next step in her college career. Many advisors had always told her to think of a plan B, but she never thought about it in the depth that people had wanted her to- she didn’t think that a plan B was even in the future. Although Oshkosh is a great school, there are other schools that would be a good fit as well. These schools have good programs that are easier to get into and she could go right when she applied. Another problem for Jensen was that her general education classes were complete so it wouldn’t make sense to stay at Oshkosh for another semester and take filler classes, as that would be a waste of time and money. Jensen knew what the next step would be and was feeling confident about it. She would go to a different school if Oshkosh didn’t accept her on the first…

That’s the kind of big dreams Mariah Shankle has for when she leaves Keller Central High School. When Ms. Meador first assigned this peer interview, I really didn’t know who Mariah was or what she was like. However, by doing this peer interview, I got to find out who Mariah was and what her goals were for the future. As we were asking each other questions and replying with our answers, one answer that intrigued me from her was that she wanted to attend Baylor University, it’s because most people that choose to go to a school in Texas usually attend University of Texas in Austin. As soon as she told me about Baylor, I had a question already formed in my mind. Why, why Baylor? What was so special about Baylor to her? Her answer made complete sense once she told me. It’s because she wants to go to a school that has a good medical center so she can major in sports medicine and the best one for her is Baylor University. As she was telling me about Baylor University, just by watching her and the way she talks about it, I realized how passionate she was about it. Not only does she hope to get accepted to Baylor University, she hopes that she can get a scholarship from Baylor for volleyball. With this peer interview, I not only got to find out who Mariah Shankle was but I also made a new friend by doing this peer interview.…
