Accepting George Chuvalo's Role Model
George Chuvalo is a retired pro boxers. He is a 5 time Canadian Heavyweight champion and a 2 time World heavyweight contender. He competed in 93 fights in his professional career. Out of those 93 fights he won 72 times. 63 of those victories being knock outs. He is a Ontario Sports Hall of Famer. He is most remembered for his strong chin and his fight with Muhammad Ali. The reason why I decided to pick George Chuvalo was because on his indirect way that he became a leader in his sport. Chuvalo never meant to a be leader, he just fought his best. However this led to him having a very fruitful career with many victories. He is a leader or a role model in his sport for being able to show and lead by example. His record of 63 KOs is an example

Kasey Rivera would like to see herself as a transformational leader; however, I see her as a transactional leader with a hint of transformational. A transactional leader focuses on effectiveness and efficient and getting things done, but she wants to see people motivated and inspires people to be as enthusiastic about work as she is. She can be an autocratic leader, a “my way or the highway” type of leader, but she is open to people’s opinions as she knows she not always right. This would be the democratic side in her. She includes people in the process as it gets thing done even faster than her own way. The leader that she comes with strengths, weaknesses, affliction and grit.…

People always have that one person they can look up to as a role model. They are the ones who set good examples to you, give you advice, be there for you, and small things that matter to us. Many employees at Toyota of Dallas look up to the owner Darren Dortch; he is a very kind a generous person who truly care about his customers and employees. Darren has set a great example on how to run a very successful business by showing us that customers always have to stand before us while working, which he does when he sees a customer walking, he politely goes up to them, greets them, hands shakes them with a big smile in his face. That’s the reason why many people look up to him because he is just a great to be around, he always makes you feel comfortable when you talk to him not feeling nervous and that’s how everyone should be when talking to an owner of a huge company being yourself not worrying what he’s going to judge about you. People will always have someone who would become your role model by showing that they care about everyone, and to the other people around them.…

Upon hearing that this topic was about heroes, my mind became flooded with ideas and concepts. Family members, historical figures and celebrities had all come to mind. However, this person was the first name that came to mind. This man, depending on your prospective, is either a hero or a villain. To many, he and his qualities are basically the definition of a hero. He has a no-quit attitude, a passion, and a fire in his heart. He has the heart and soul of a true warrior and champion. He has never run, he has fought through the down times, the lows, to achieve greatness, and reach those highs, those great moments. This man is a rare find in this world, nobody will ever be like him. He has a killer instinct, or “Mamba Mentality”, and that is…

You have a good point, Julonda. It is appropriate to do the right thing as per your values, to get through the dilemma of working and representing a company that does not align with your beliefs. Sticking to your beliefs and keeping the trust in God and karma would help you stay on the right path. To live out one’s personal values needs a lot of courage, confidence, and commitment. These qualities grow as we understand our core values (Peregrym, & Wollf, 2013). Subsequently, these values get aligned with our actions. A servant leader should keep a balance between following own values and serving others. The value-based servant leader understands the significance of taking care of oneself and one’s beliefs. This enables them to take care of…

Question 1 To contribute to a lesson of seven year old children learning to play percussion instruments, a teacher’s assistant would support and help the teacher and children by creating an environment that is positive and organised which would promote learning and minimise bad behaviour that could create an unsettled atmosphere and in turn disrupt the lesson. For this to be achieved the TA would contribute by preparing the classroom for the particular activity, creating the space required thus giving the Teacher more time to concentrate on preparing for the lesson.
