In life you won’t always get what you want maybe because you’re not a certain way. However, that doesn’t mean you have to change because, your reality is that you’re different; you’re not like everyone. So, why deny who you are? Why try to get other’s acceptance and want something that is not you? In the play “Ghostgirl” by Tonya Hurley, Charlotte was being rejected and even worst she was being ignored. She tried to be someone she was not and that cause her “new life”; her afterlife.
The fact that humans want acceptance and recognition from others make humans weak; because, their egoism and arrogance blinded them. Charlotte was trying to be popular, she wanted everybody talking about her, and she did not care what kind of comments they could do. This tells us that Charlotte was desperate to get recognition, no matter what. If she could think more about it; maybe, it could have gone better. She already had a plan, and she was sure it was going to work. She was going to become what she hated the most, one of those “I do what I want because I’m superior” cheerleaders Just like Petula & friends. She thought that way Damen could like her. Therefore the common fact to think about it it’s idiotic because Damen also hated that kind of girls. Charlotte was going to pretend be someone she wasn’t to later pay the price and then have to five pretending her whole life. That is not life, it’s a lie. It’s being death in live.
Amazingly still there are people who are able to help you no matter of your situation, just like that; you failed them so bad that you break all the bonds you shared. Scarlet was that person for charlotte, even if she was a dark person who did not care about others or others opinion she was able to see Charlotte. SHE WAS ABLE TO HELP HER. This tell us that even if she was cold outside, she had a heart, and she felt guilty and
