General purpose: to inform
Specific purpose: to inform my audience on how to get balance between academics and social life
INTRODUCTION
A. Attention Getter: we are only focused on getting great grades, we forget about our friends and our family, and we forget that there is a real world that you have to be fun and discover. Some of us don’t care about our grades in high school or college because we think our social lives are more important.
B. Tie to the audience: if you want to succeed in life, you need to find a balance between your academics and your social life.
C. Credibility material: if you want to be happy you must to be balance in everything that you do and want, that’s why planning and defining moments to each particular activity that you do is so important.
D. Preview : I will give some steps which include how to organized time, be an active person, how to involved in social activities, get in touch with friends, and tips
BODY
A. The first step is to be organized.
1. Organized your study time and the time that you spend with people including your friends.
2. Have an agenda and write down what you will study one day, how much time you will study and at what time
3. If a date night with your spouse or a softball game with friends is on your calendar, you will have something to look forward to and an extra incentive to manage your time well so you don’t have to cancel.
4. Many student waste their time on activities or people that add no value
