Persuasive Essay He was given power, he took freedom, he created inequality. A little power can go a long way and lead to major issues. People abuse power to limit freedom and individualism. Leading to negative impact and unstableness, Creon was elected king among others. In the play, Antigone, king Creon uses his power to take away Antigone’s right to bury her brother. When the two brothers killed each other in war, Creon announced that no one shall be buried unless given his permission.This led to Antigone burying his brother out of respect and Creon ordering to excuse her. Creon is abusing power to take away power of others. This also shows how creon reacts when someone disobeys him. Creon goes to extreme measures when Antigone goes

    By burying her brother, Antigone knowingly and willingly went against royal orders and in doing so chooses her own death. She knows as well as anyone in the town that death would come to all that disobeyed Creon's order.
