The Civil war was the Bloodiest war in American history and Abraham Lincoln was the president at the time. “I have a dream” speech is one the greatest speech ever. Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. were two very important people for equal rights. When you compare both of them they have lots of similarities, but they also have differences to. Abraham Lincoln was a huge impact in black lives matter. Before he was a president helping the blacks he was just a little boy. Abraham was born February 12, 1809, Kentucky. One difference was the use of violence. Martin Luther King Jr. was a pacifist. A pacifist doesn’t believe in war and violence is the answer. Martin Luther only had peaceful marches. He would never have any violence. (4)Unlike Martin Abraham would do anything for victory. Abraham Lincoln created the bloodiest war in American history. The Civil War was the North against the South. Abraham created it for the freedom of the blacks. He was willing to kill American people for victory. (1) Another difference was they were in different time periods. Abraham Lincoln was in the period when blacks had no rights at all and they were slaves. He was during the Civil War. (1) Martin Luther King Jr. was when blacks had little rights but not equal rights. (3) Even though Abraham and Martin had differences they were fighting for the freedom of the blacks. Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. had a huge effect on the rights of the blacks. They both did a major action in history to be where they are today.
