Abortion Is Murder Essay
The controversy between pro life and pro choice has been a hot topic lately, some saying it’s murder, others saying It’s for the best. Abortion should be considered murder because “life begins at conception” (“10 Common Arguments”).Without conception none of us would be here, the reason people are able to have an opinion about abortion is obviously because they were not aborted themselves. Restricting the life and rights of an unborn child is unspeakable.

Many americans think that Abortion is murder and should be illegal, but how is it illegal if “Only a person can be murdered. Therefore, abortion is not murder unless one considers the fetus to be a person” A baby cannot live outside of the Uterus on it’s own when most women get abortions.

This can include the cervix, fallopian tubes, uterus, and ovaries. Bacteria or organisms can enter the reproductive system through the cervix and circulate through the system. In most cases, sexually transmitted diseases which go untreated is the reason for PID. Other reasons for PID include post-childbirth, post-abortion, insertion of IUD, or pelvic surgery. PID greatly increases the chances of Ectopic pregnancies, which is when a fertilized egg develops into a fetus outside the womb. Ectopic pregnancies most commonly occur in the fallopian tube, which connect the ovary to the uterus, this would then be called a tubal pregnancy, surgery would be required to remove the cells. When these issues go undetected they could change the ‘mother's’ life forever.(“10 Common …show more content…
Studies show that 46% of women who used abortion as a form of birth control did not used contraception during the month they became pregnant in. Amazingly, 47% of the women who had an abortion have had one before; this makes me wonder if the women are heartless or if they don’t care about the potential lives of their own children. Of the women who participated in this study 8% have never used a form of birth control. “The majority of abortions are obtained for social and financial reasons”. (“Abortion”)
The types of abortions available depend on how far along the mother is during the pregnancy. The earlier the abortion is done the easier less painful they are to the mother the fetus. Although some of the methods are gruesome, we feel that every child deserves a loving home where the child can be protected and safe. For the parents who are unable to provide an appropriate home adoption is an alternative to abortion, but what many people don’t know is adoption agencies are past their maximum capacity. The cost to run an adoption agency is immensely high which makes the cost to adopt ridiculously high

Abortion is an on-going debate throughout the United States. Americans divide 50% as pro-choice and 44% on pro-life. (Saad, 2015) Majority of women side with pro-choice, and being a woman myself, I stand with pro-choice. I believe that it’s an individual’s right to decide what they’re doing to their bodies, and no one else should be allowed to deny them of said right. There are many different reasons as to why someone would get an abortion. Whether it be from results of rape, birth control failure, teen pregnancy, or whatever the case may be, every abortion is thought out and no option is an easy option.…

52% of women under the age of 25 are guilty of having an abortion. Young women getting an abortion do not have enough life experience to fully understand what they are doing. This ends in the result of long life regret. Abortion often causes intense psychological pain and stress. Those at such a young age are too naïve to see that abortion is not a contraceptive. Women need to take responsibility for their actions and not getting rid of their problems. It is simply ending the life of an innocent child for their own Irresponsibility. The child is not the one who should be punished. Not only will choosing abortion lead to psychological pain but it also can increase ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage and pelvic inflammatory disease.…

Abortion is the killing of an unborn child, or in other words, murder. The unborn child is in fact a living human being. Although some may disagree that the baby is living while in the womb, it can be proven scientifically otherwise. Erick Eckholm in the New York Times online quoted Dr. Eric Webb, an obstetrician, who said, “With the union of the egg and sperm, that is life, and genetically human.” It is human at the moment of egg and sperm coming together. Rob Schwarzwalder similarly explained in his online article on Family Research Council, “The zygote is composed of human DNA and other human molecules, so its nature is undeniably human and not some other species. . . It is also quite clear to us that the earliest human embryo is biologically alive. It fulfills the four criteria needed to establish biological life: metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction.” He makes the argument very clear that when the sperm and egg fuse together, a new entity that is distinctly human becomes alive and an individual. He also discusses that the new human zygote has a genetic composition that is different from any other human, including the mother (Schwarzwalder). All of these facts contribute to the fact that this baby is not just an extension of the mother’s body alone, but it is a new and unique human being. Mary Balch bluntly states in her article online for USA Today, “The fetus, in many cases, dies just as a human adult or child would: It bleeds to death as it is torn limb from limb.” When you decide to abort, you are technically killing an irreplaceable living person.…

Abortion is a constitutional issue that questions whether it is ethically acceptable or a violation of the Constitution. It is a constant debate that revolves around moral, religious, and political values and effects several groups including pro-life supporters, pro-choice supporters, the state government, the federal government, courts, mothers, fathers, and most importantly, the child inside the womb. For one reason or another, these groups have their reasons and this essay will explore those arguments and their ethical value, while citing many of the conflicts that have arose in the United States over this highly controversial, constitutional topic. I believe that abortion should be outlawed in the United States with the exception of rape cases and other severe situations.…

There are two different viewpoints on abortion. Pro-choice and pro-life. Let’s start with the easy one. Pro-life means that a person is completely against abortion. The pro-life viewpoint is the belief that abortion is considered taking the life a human, which would mean that life begins at conception. People may have this viewpoint for religious values, or even their personal moral values, and believe that abortion for anyone is wrong. Pro-choice is a little bit harder to describe. It doesn’t mean pro-abortion, it literally concerns the word choice. People that are pro-choice believe that it is a person’s personal decision as to whether or not they get an abortion. Somebody may be completely against abortion personally, but may still be pro-choice because they believe that it is a person’s decision and that right should not be…

Those against abortion argue that a fetus is very much alive like us and has the capacity to evolve into a complete human being. So killing a fetus is just like killing a human being, which is completely wrong. In response to this sensitive question, pro-choice people come up with their own logical argument. As per the supporters of abortion, there is no fixed definition of "human being" in the womb. Just because a group of living cells exist in the womb, it is not right to call it a "human being". If killing a fetus is wrong, then amputating a hand or a leg in case of accident must also amount to murder. Further, proponents of abortion believe the embryo in a womb must only be considered to be a human after it has reached a certain stage of development. So generally embryos start showing signs of heartbeat development in at least 21 days of conception. Hence, if killed before, it won't amount to killing a life. This argument is further said to be misleading by anti-abortion groups because according to them, if a cell has life, it will experience pain if killed. It is wrong to cause pain and trauma to a potential…

Abortion is a controversy that has been argued and fought about for decades. People ask whether it’s the body of the mother or the life of the child, who is in charge? The answer to that is simple. The mother is the one in charge of her body, but while being in charge of her body she engaged in intercourse and as a result there came a baby. Now, the baby is a person too, so going forward with abortion is indeed murder. There are at least three alternatives to abortion: parenting, adoption, and interim foster care (Abortion Alternatives). Most people claim that not everyone is ready to be a parent, and they are correct. However, as was said before there are other options than just being parent. There are options that wouldn’t be murder.…

“Abortion is the stopping of pregnancy, either through a miscarriage or artificially induced, by the removal of the fetus or embryo from the uterus” (O’Brien). There are two sides on the abortion debate, pro-choice, who support abortion, and pro-life, who do not. Pro-choice supports believe that women should have the freedom and the choice of having a child, and that a woman should not be forced to have a child. Pro-life…

How would it be like if you weren’t allowed to choose what happens to your future? Some women do not get the luxury of choosing for themselves due to some laws set and they do not get the option whatsoever. That should be different as women are the ones who carry the babies, not the ones who are voting against it. Even though the baby never had the chance to live life, women should have the right to choose what they want to do with their baby because it may be bad for the women herself to have to care of a baby, they may not be prepared for a baby, and we do not know their circumstances of the situation.…

Is abortion an act of murdering a human being? Many will argue that abortion isn’t wrong on the basis that a fetus is not a human being; however, many will argue that abortion is wrong because its taking a human life, no matter what stage of pregnancy it is in. In my paper I will argue that life begins at conception and arrive at the conclusion that abortion is killing a human being. As well as providing premises for my view, I will also provide an objection to my argument.…

For hundreds of years, abortion has been an extremely controversial subject. There are many issues pertaining to abortion like whether a woman should be permitted by law to have an abortion and if so then under what circumstances. Many people believe that every woman has a natural right to her own body and therefore if she feels the need for an abortion, she may get one. Those who believe that women should have the right to an abortion refer to themselves as “pro choice”.…

Abortion is not an illegal process in the United States as of today, but abortion is murder and murder is illegal, therefore; abortion should be illegal. The definition for abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. I find this definition very simple for such a complex issue, such as, life and death. This definition fails to mention the millions of lives that have been lost in utero due to this procedure. Some consider abortion to be murder since the being inside the mother is living. The definition of something living includes the ability to grow, which is exactly what is going on inside a woman who is pregnant. An abortion ceases the growing process, therefore ending the future life of a human being.…

    Abortion Is Murder

The question that is being asked and is on most people’s minds: “Is abortion murder?” Indeed, abortion is murder because it’s premeditated killing of someone who cannot, or is not given the opportunity, to defend themselves. The fetus has no defenses. In the case of Roe v. Wade (1973). Courts ruled unconstitutional a state law that banned abortions except to save the life of the mother. The Supreme Court ruled that the states were prohibited from making abortion illegal or controlling any aspect of abortion carried out during the first trimester of pregnancy, could only decrees abortion regulations sensibly related to maternal health in the second and third trimesters, and could decrees abortion laws protecting the life of the fetus only in the third trimester (Roe v. Wade, 1973). Studies have shown that pregnant mother’s freedom of choice over her body shouldn’t prevent her baby from having a chance at life. The fetus is a growing organism. Abortion should be banned within the United States because it is committing legal murder, it is creating immorality within our society, and choosing to place the child into adoptive care is a much better option for everyone involved.…
