Abortion: A Woman's Right To Choose
Many women around the world are deciding to get abortions because they don’t want their child, or can't afford it. The main issue of abortion is whether you're pro-life or pro-choice. Abortion should be legal. Some women can’t afford the baby, don’t want the baby, or it could be a product of rape. Being pro-life just limits a women from truly choosing for themselves the outcome of their involving a child. Abortion should be completely pro choice. One example is that 14,000 women have abortions each year following rape. The woman should have a choice to not have a baby with a rapist. According to Procon.org, a baby should not come into the world unwanted (Should Abortion Be Legal?). The baby is more likely to turn out unhealthy when it is born

Well according to liveaction.org, the first feminists were anti abortion so apparently all women that respect themselves are supposed to follow in their lead (Nancy Flanders). It doesn't matter what the first feminists believed. Another supposed reason for pro- life comes from Linda Lowen (Journalist). Listed on thoughtco.com it says, “Since life begins at conception, abortion is akin to murder as it is the act of taking human life” (Lowen). Technically this is wrong because most people get abortion within the first 12 weeks of their pregnancy. During this time the baby is pretty much a part of you. If you died during this time, so would the baby. Getting an abortion wouldn’t be killing a new person. In the case of rape you may be thinking, “Isn’t their medical equipment that can stop the victims of rape from being impregnated?”. Well according to Linda Lowen, “forcing a woman made pregnant by this violent act would cause further psychological harm to the victim. Often a woman is too afraid to speak up or is unaware she is pregnant, thus the morning after pill is ineffective in these situations” (Lowen).
