Abigail The Crucible
Hundreds dead or imprisoned, all caused by a single teenage girl and her followers. This story sounds like it is straight out of the twilight zone, as much of a fairy tale as it sounds like, this event actually happened in Salem Massachusetts. It was deemed the Salem Witch trials and left a lasting impression on history of what paranoia can do to people. The tragedy is now a play called “the Crucible by: Arthur Miller in the Crucible the most accountable person for the trials in the play is shown to be Abigail Williams. Abigail's lying and acting is what began the witch trials not only that she is the ringleader for the so called “bewitched girls of Salem”.

Her overly dramatic cries for help as she writhed in agony and discomfort helped the other girls to know what direction to take silently but effectively. For example when the so called yellow bird attacked only Abigail could see and notice it but after she began to be in pain the other girls were affected too(114-116in the story found on your website). If that is not strange enough when Tituba and Abigail cried out who they “saw with the Devil”. The others followed her lead in hopes of safety and out of the irrational fear of their punishment(pages 46-48 in the story found on your website), I suggest if Abigail had never done this in the first place none of the other girls would have attempted the same thing and many lives woulda been saved.
Admittedly some will suggest Abigail Williams is actually not the one to blame. Watching her parents die and having no real role model in her life could be probably cause to declare it is not her fault. John Proctor could in turn be blamed for never admitting to the court everything he had done and knew. Even with all this knowledge I suggest that Abigail is still the one to blame. This was her decision she had plenty of time to back down but she refused, all the way till the guilt of her actions got to her and she fled
