AU Honors Program: Unlocking The Key To Happiness
The course that I would propose for the AU Honors Program would be ‘Unlocking the Key to Happiness’. Being happy is something that has always fascinating me, and I think it is essential for living a good life; therefore, a course like this would not only be enlightening and fascinating, but useful. The questions that the course would ask would be how do we become truly happy, what are some obstacles in the way of happiness, how do we overcome those obstacles, and is happiness our purpose in life, or is it something else? Since this is a broad topic, the different disciplines that I would pull from the faculty would be neuroscience (natural and applied sciences), economics and psychology (social sciences), and philosophy (humanities/arts).     The Honors Program grabbed my attention because it’s for academically outstanding students and I am that student.
