ASU Compare And Contrast Essay
Students moving into a new environment without their parents either results in an exciting new experience or make the students extremely terrified, which results in them feeling homesick. It is crucial and important for students to pick a university that makes them feel secure and meets their standards. Besides the fact that a school can make the students feel safe, the school with the best reputation and the best overall experience while touring the campus will likely lead to the student’s best interest. When Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University are both compared and contrasted, it becomes obvious that Northern Arizona University is the best out of the two options for students looking to attend a university in Arizona.
Both NAU and ASU have thousands of applicants applying for their university during each school year. The population of both schools varies according to their acceptance rates. However, being closer to the city, ASU has a greater amount of students on their campus. Not to mention, the weather is at a great exposure to heat and the students at ASU have more buildings surrounding the campus, which make it more cluttered and a less spacious environment. In contrast, NAU has a lower amount of students and is further

Likewise, ASU’s Facebook page posts consecutively about events like news; yet, ASU hardly posts about what is actually going on around the campus. However, NAU’s Facebook page is up to date and informs students of any interesting activities going on at the campus or when any satisfying opportunities to volunteer or join clubs occur ; NAU keeps their students engaged by providing information at their fingertips that they simply could simply look into if they are interested in participating in those

The movie, The Crucible was written by Arthur Miller in 1952. It is about Salem witch trials that happened near the Massachusetts Bay during 1692 and 1693. Miller wrote the play because of McCarthyism. Before the court trials anyone, he had a lot of hearings before they chose who is guilty of witchcraft. When the court found out who was guilty, they would be hung between February 1692 and May 1693. Even though The Crucible is based on the Salem witch trials, the play and the movie are different in some ways like the relationship between John Proctor and Abigail Williams, and the towns’ reaction to the Putnam’s.…

There comes a time in students’ lives where they have to make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. This may be to follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest African American figures at an HBCU, or to obtain a general education from one of the wide range predominantly white universities. The choice of finding the best university to accommodate their needs is definitely a tough decision. Emerson and Thoreau share similar views on life. They share similar views on life like thinking that it should be taken with simple steps and with ease, living life the way you want to, and appreciating the little values that come along with it. Thoreau states that life should be simple and that “being in the now” is taking over. Everyday advances in the world are starting to choose how we live for us, instead of living our lives ourselves. Emerson says that appreciating small things, appreciating yourself, and appreciating others around you is life. These are the points stated by Emerson and Thoreau on how life should be for everyone.…

The college that I decided to research is called Florida International University or FIU for short. I feel like this college is appropriate for me because many of the amenities available fit my liking. The school has a very large campus and plenty of students to make new friends with, and is located in the heart of Florida. Florida’s weather is similar to Arizona’s, with the exception of humidity, making it feel just like home. There are many extracurricular activities at this college such as sororities and fraternities, a radio station, student council, and much more to keep me busy outside of my studies. This college also has a minimum GPA of 3.4 or greater, allowing me to be surrounded by students who value their education just as much as I do. I think FIU would be a great college for me to consider applying to because it has much of what I look for including size, location, academic and extracurricular programs.…

Months past and it’s that time for those students to embark on a new journey in their lives. When they arrive on campus, the first thing that they do is find the room they will be staying in and immediately began to unpack and get settled in their new residence. Most parents receive letters in the mail explaining how much they owe at the end of the semester and the one thing that pops up on the list is the cost of housing per semester. For most parents in the U.S, they already have to worry about paying for classes at ERAU, which cost roughly around $5,000 a class plus meal plans, health center, SGA, and other minor things. The topic of my Analytical Report is to find valid facts on why the housing at ERAU costs so much for what it is worth. Within my report, I will explain the outcomes of why housing has become so expensive and also ways that students have handled the reality of paying for…
