ASPCA: Dog Fighting

“Dog fighting is a type of blood sport in which dogs are forced to fight one another for the entertainment and/or profit of spectators. A felony offence in all 50 states, dog fighting is one of the most deplorable forms of animal cruelty.”- ASPCA: Dog fighting. As you can see dog fighting is brutal sport for profits and pride boosts. Dog fighting is still a problem in the world, even after becoming illegal. Dog fighting is growing, training these dogs to fight leads to animal abuse to make them cruel for a fight. Dog fighting hurts these dogs for doing what they learned while they were young. They are forced to fight each other and may suffer severe injuries or worse, even killed. If an animal doesn’t win a fight for its trainer the dog is abandoned or even killed brutally in public. Keeping these dogs on little diets and keeping them from other dogs and on heavy chains isn’t right for them. These dogs are kept isolated from their own kind once they can their mother and are sometime put on steroids.
