I feel that two challenges that I will encounter while using the APA style would be plagiarism and writing style and format. I have noticed in the past when I was in college I tend to ramble a bit throughout my papers. I understand at this level more will be required of me and my out of my papers. Second, when it comes to plagiarism I understand it is crucial not to ever use anyones words other than your own at any point. Brushing up on my power phrasing skills is on the to do list. This way my words are clear and never misleading.

Two things I can easily incorporate are indicate are sources for evidence and citing references. If you cite a paper

While some website standardization is acceptable, content modification for country and cultural differences maximizes communication effectiveness, increasing the ease of using the site (Singh et al.). Analysis Article The writer of the article “Overprotective parents stifle growth”, Jane Brown a retired school principal, claims that parents are too protective of their children whilst the writer of “Reality Check”, Jack Lee, indicates that parents aren’t taking enough precaution with their children. The writers use different persuasive techniques to persuade their readers such as emotive writing. The tone that the writers use is pleading and the style of both pieces are simple. There is a picture placed between both articles and is used to show a similarity between the two articles. A technique used by Jane Brown is sarcasm throughout the article. She talks about how parents are trying to create “perfect” children and “protecting” them and “incidents” occurring at school, by specifically using these words the reader thinks that there really is no such thing as…

The very first thing that came to my mind regarding the answer to this question was Bethel’s high moral standards as a Christian university for all students they serve. Plagiarism is a growing epidemic in today’s academic world. Whether it was done intentionally or not, every student needs to realize that plagiarism is essentially theft. To avoid this occurrence, I always try to remember how I would feel if someone else was to take full credit for my work. Throughout the entirety of my higher educational journey, I have always used MLA formatting. Utilizing APA formatting will be a completely new thing for me to undertake and learn. It is important to give proper credit where it is due when paraphrasing or using someone else’s work. Being honest…

After taking the APA Workbook (Mastering APA Style) Term Paper Familiarization Test I believe that I have identified my strengths and weaknesses. Writing in American Psychological Association format has never been a struggle for me, but that was before I took the test. The test taught me so much editorial information about the APA style that I have never seen or heard before. I’m certain that in the near future I will be much more hesitant in my writing to ensure that I am following the APA rules and guidelines. My test results were 29 out of 40, that’s 73%. In graduate school that’s considered failing, so I’m certainly grateful that our GPA isn’t affected by the test.…
