APA Reflective Essay

Freshmen year of college is a frightening thing to think, especially the frightening things you hear about it, such as a twenty-page essay APA style. Although actually going through your freshmen year you learn so much more than the four years of high-school you were enrolled in. Over the Spring semester I’ve developed more skills or habits when writing essays in this course as well in my other classes such as History, Marriage and Courtship, and Assessment and Observation. I’ve gotten much better at managing my own time since January giving me a sense of what needs to be done before the deadline approaches. I’ve improved on writing my outlines and become more assertive in my writing. Even before I began English 1320 my outlines were vague and didn’t have much details as to what I have planned on talking about in my essays. My evidence in previous essays wasn’t as credible and present as it is now in my current essays. I’m now able to write more than I used to and not fear the number 1,000 or 2,000 word essays mostly due to the fact of learning to use the database. The research database was much more efficient than looking online because it gave me articles and journals based on the few key words I typed in. Adding conjunctions helped me narrow down sources that were related to my topic; giving me what I was searching for my Annotated
It was just something I had to write about because I was hopeful and excited for the future; letting my past self, reassure my future self. That it’s okay if I didn’t accomplish what I wanted to achieve as long as I tried. I just came back the day before from a 4-hour drive from home and I was already missing it.
