Administration plays a significant role in psychology at the work place. Some of the major duties they are responsible for are setting standards for good work etiquette while maintaining quality and quantity for their goods and services. Management may need to take on many different roles to achieve these responsibilities. For example; the role of a firefighter to extinguish tempers of customers and coworkers, the role of a police officer to settle disputes and maintain discipline or order, or as a friend to encourage trust and honor among the company. Whatever problem that may arise, administration needs to have the ability to cope and solve them in a quick and proficient manner. The atmosphere must have a secure, impartial and equality feeling for both the workers and management in the workplace. Security is not just a physical feeling of being safe in the office but also assurance of their mental state regarding job stability, fair treatment, mental and physical comfort without harassment, favoritism or unfair judgments. Administration should be comprised of leaders, individuals who positively impact other people while not abusing the administrative powers. Management has 5 key elements that incorporate self-awareness, inspiration, societal skills, sympathy as well as self-administration. Anyone in an administrative role must be regarded as reliable, honest, skilled, persistent, open to suggestion, and dedicated in the eyes of their workers.…

What has been deemed by many as the greatest Super Bowl to date, Super Bowl XLVI was held on February 5, 2012, hosted for the only the fifth time in what the NFL determines as a cold-weather city - Indianapolis. Not only did it break attendance records for the Super Bowl Village and NFL Experience (some of the many product extensions available to fans) with 1.1 million and 265,000 visitors respectively, but the Indianapolis Host Committee also set many precedents for future host cities to follow. Interested in understanding more, it was our objective to analyze and identify the various parties and components involved in the production of such a hallmark event. Specifically, we analyzed the NFL-owned event as a joint production by NFL Events and the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee. We also investigated several critical components of the event including the facility, security, hospitality, city infrastructure, and community involvement. The aforementioned content is addressed in the following sections:…

The unit I selected to study is the Sales and Service department of the organization where I am employed, Verizon Telecommunications. It is the customer service department in which customers call in to order new service, add services or products to existing service, and report any questions, comments or complaints. In addition to placing orders for services, if a customer has a problem or a technical issue, my job is to analyze the problem or issue and recommend a solution. Notice however, the department title, Sales and Service. It is of no accident that the word Sales, is before Service. This is in fact a sales job. During every call, I must make sure I recommend a product or service to a customer. The problem is that management place a great deal of emphasis on the sales aspect of the job and not enough on the customer service aspect. Thus, creating a highly competitive cultural environment where good customer service skills and work ethics become questionable.…
