A Summary of Esther

Esther was a sweet-kind hearted girl. She was crown queen at a young age. Esther was beautiful but the king saw that she was kind. The king loved her name. The king took the crown and place it on Esther's head.

After being queen for a few days Mordecai, ( Mordecai is Esther's uncle, he adopted Esther his orphan cousin) over heard a couple of men planning to kill the king. She brought this to the king's attention. They was an investigation and it was true and immediately they were kill. One day the king told all his servants to bow down and worship Herman.     The novel, My Antonia, begins with Jim Burden, who is a New York City Lawyer. He gives a friend his journal of his Nebraska childhood. It is in the form of memories from a friend, Ántonia Shimerda. Jim starts his story in Nebraska when he was 10 years old. He had arrived to live with his grandparents after his parents die in Virginia. Jim first sees the Shimerdas on his trip towards Nebraska. The Burdens find it difficult to connect with the Shimerdas, but try to be helpful as they can. As a result of the suicide, Ántonia and Jim find that they cannot stand each other.
