This paper is the first part of the Teaching Project assignment. I will present the main teaching objective accompanied by some specific goals, and a brief overview of the actual project.

For the teaching project, I have decided to orchestrate a pre-operative teaching session for a patient undergoing a minor procedure such as an inguinal hernia repair, as an elective day surgery.
The general objective: To prepare the patient for his surgical experience.
