A Comparison Of Two Early Childhood Curriculum Models
This paper takes a look at two different early childhood curriculum models. These models include the Project Approach and the Creative Curriculum. It discusses the historical and the current perspectives regarding these two curriculum models and where they are used today. The paper looks at how the curriculum models align with the NAEYC’s principle of developmentally appropriate practices and it gives teaching strategies for the given curriculum models. It discusses how explicitly and content areas are integrated in the classroom and how the curriculum insures a mix of child-guided and adult-guided activities. Lastly, the paper compares the models and distinguishes ways that they are alike as well as how they are different. Keywords:
