The Curtis boys eat chocolate cake every morning, page 105 says this “The first one up has to make breakfast, I started to find the eggs we need for our chocolate cake we eat every morning for breakfast, along with our chocolate milk.” This is some proof that Ponyboy should go to the system. He would be better off with the system because, the cake has a lot of sugar and it’s he’s eating a block of sugar everyday. So if Ponyboy stays with Darry he could get bad stomach problems involving diabetes and stomach and health issues. So the opponents that are on Darry’s side might argue that “ He’s a kid let him eat what he wants.” Then back to the system side, “ What’s good with letting him eat what he wants, when it could lead him to health issues, body problems, and possibly dying. Did you know that most of the children in foster care suffer from mental illness. I think that children should be able to stay with their parents, because it’s healthier for them to be with their families. Children who grow up in foster care do not always receive the education they need to support themselves efficiently. When children in foster care age out at the age of eighteen many find it difficult to support themselves. Ponyboy is better of with Darry, because he is a good guardian, and it should be Ponyboy's choice to stay with Darry or go to the foster care system’. Ponyboy should stay with Darry, because he looks out for him. ‘If you get in a jam holler and I will get you out”. This quote supports my perspective, because Darry cares for Ponyboy and that's why he’s so hard on him. Another way this supports my perspective is that Darry doesn't like it when Ponyboy smokes. “Ponyboy Curtis put out that cigarette you know there’s no smoking in bed”. This show’s my perspective, because Darry saw…

How can people with such different personalities and ways of life have so much in common with one another? It seems nearly impossible for something to occur like that. Although, In S.E. Hinton’s novel The Outsiders two characters, Johnny Cade and Dallas Winston, are alike in some ways, but are also different in other ways. Johnny and Dallas are alike because they both have neglectful and abusive parents who do not care about them, and they care about each other. Although, they do have their differences like their personalities, and their thoughts on the laws. Dally and Johnny are very different, but it is clear that they are very similar in some ways.…

Also Huck’s dad does not want him to become civilized or sophisticated. Because he does not want him to be any better than he is. Also he beats him left and right. He is hardly ever at home always out and about doing whatever.…

The great American novel “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” by Mark Twain is about a white southern raised child named Huck Finn and a runaway slave, Jim, running away together. This novel is similar in ways to that of the novel “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald, which is about “the fabulously wealthy Jay Gatsby and his love Daisy Buchanan.”(Book Cover) The character Huckleberry Finn is similar to characters of “The Great Gatsby.” Huck Finn is similar to Jay Gatsby because of their lies about their families, their reasons for lying, and their frames of reference of what not to do. Huck Finn is also similar to Myrtle Wilson. This is due to the fact that both try to create and live their “adventurous fantasy” lives and also because while trying to make their fantasy a reality they quickly forget about important people and belongings.…
