A Career In Sports Medicine Physicians, Orthodontist
What job field do you want to go into? Healthcare is a large, career field that is full of numerous career options to choose from. Three careers that you could possibly choose from this field are, Sports Medicine Physicians, Orthodontists, and a Physical Therapists. The people who have these jobs help patients everyday, in many different ways. How do they help people, and what do they do? A Sports Medicine Physician helps athletes, an Orthodontist fixes smiles, and a Physical Therapist helps people recover from injury.
A Sports Medicine Physician helps athletes, but they also help people who are physically active. They can help lower the chance of more injuries from happening, improve performance, and enhance health. Some Physicians can be surgeons also and repair the injury but it is primarily a nonsurgical job where they diagnose the injuries and treat injuries. They also provide knowledge on athletic conditioning and nutritional advice. This job would fit anybody who is

A Physical Therapist plans, prepares, or carries out individually designed programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. To have the job you probably like being around people and helping them with problems they may have, also you should be a person who can analyze and look at problems in different ways in order to solve a problem, and like to do physical activities and projects. To have this job the skills you need are active listening, active learning, and monitoring. Education that you would need to become a Physical Therapist is a Kinesiology and Exercise Science Degree and a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. In the state of Iowa the average salary of a Physical Therapist is $75,000. The national salary is $83,940. The number of job openings for a Physical Therapist is very low but it is growing very fast and openings are starting to show up
