A Career As A Veterinarian

Ever since I was a child I knew exactly what I wanted to succeed in life as, a veterinarian. It’s just that I’ve always been so fond in animals and care for them very deeply. I want to help and be able to rescue every single one of those animals who are in need. See, a vet is a professional who practices veterinary medicine by treating diseases, disorders and injuries in animals. There are veterinarians who assist small animals and others who work with large animals. As for me, I would like to treat small animals. I am confident that one day I will be saving as many animals and pets as possible. But for that, first I must go to college and get a major in biology. Veterinarians prevent and and treat illnesses and injuries in animals. They might specialize in a type of veterinary medicine, such as surgery, or a group of animals. Their responsibility consist of diagnosing patients, prescribing medicine, performing surgery, giving vaccinations, and providing health care recommendations to pet owners. They may also conduct research in areas such as biomedical sciences. Veterinarians often work very long hours, and may make themselves available for emergency situations. To become a veterinarian one must complete a bachelor's degree program, earn a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, become licensed, gain experience, become certified in a speciality, and join a

Becoming a vet takes a lot of dedication and ambition because it’s not easy, but if the mind is set up to it one can achieve with no problem whatsoever.
