A healthy mind can only reside in a healthy body. Mental health encompasses everything related to mind. It seriously affects the way a person thinks, feels, acts, or reacts. A mind that is not healthy can never function properly at the emotional, social and psychological levels.
Why is it important to stay mentally healthy?
If a person is not mentally healthy, it can lead to fatal mental conditions like suicide tendency, depression, addiction, schizophrenia, trauma, bipolar disorder, anxiety, etc. A person might feel emotionally drained and can even go on verge of a breakdown.

1. Love who you are: Never ever hate yourself for being ‘you’. It is very important to love and enjoy being your original self. It is only when you accept yourself that you can expect others to accept you the same way.
2. Find opportunities to be happy: One must never let go off an opportunity to smile. The more you smile the more you keep the positive vibes coming. Happiness is a major key to stay mentally healthy.
3. Keep stress at bay: This is very essential. Stress makes your mind heavy, making it difficult for a person to think rationally. The stress of everyday life can kill the happiness. When the mind is full of tensions, it is bound to lead you to depression.
4. Find your purpose of life: Life should be lived to the last drop. Your aim should be to find meaning of your life and try to make people around you happy. Set goals for yourself and try to achieve them. This will keep your mind engaged.
