The tragedy of 9/11
9/11 was a major event that had a huge impact on the united states of America. Not only did it effect the U.S, it effected the whole world. There were all types of nationalities in those buildings. A tragedy like this should never have happened from the start. Most of the Americans can inform you on this situation and how devastating it was for them and their families. Ten years later, it still hurts to see families go to newyork and cherish all the good times they had. this makes me think about life and howhen unpromising it is. The woundS of 9/11 Will continue to heal, the Americans will continue to grieve. 9/11 had changed the U.S forever. The people that were being blamed the most were the muslims. Many American muslims were being mistreated because of the effect of 9/11. They had to deal with stereotypes and verbal abuse everyday. Americans was so quick to believe the worst about muslims after the horrific attack of 9/11. The muslims did not have a private life after 9/11, everything they did was publicly announced and watched. Foundations such as holy land were shut down by the American government it was charged with having ties to terrorists. Muslims continued to be singled out by federal security. some muslims had to take over their "Hijab" meabeing headscarf, just to blend in with everyone else. hate crime directed at muslims and arabs.also, the number of attacks against those who looked muslim rise exponentially. The government continued to monitor muslim communities even though they were innocent. Not only does 9/11 holds a significance, it reminds me about the value of life . The horror of the event cause me to be grateful for every day that I enjoy. besides muslims, young children was efected as well, especially the ones that went to school in new York. students...
