9/11: A Short Story
I was 13 when 9/11 happened, I was going to work with my mom, I was bored so I decided to look at the window and I saw a plane coming towards us. Before I knew it there was smoke, fires, and people screaming all over the place. I couldn’t find my mom and I couldn’t breathe, and also I could not find a way out.

I broke open a door and came into another room with people trapped because the stairs were blocked by debris, I thought to myself and said “Everyone go out the window” we did, luckily everyone survived going through the window. We all saw some stairs with no debris, we all went down as a group, I was the last one down the stairs, but something terrible had happened to me.

I fell and broke my ankle, I hopped on one leg through the door, barely making it out alive before the building collapsed, I coughed a lot from the dust from the collapsed building. I found safety and they carried me to a policeman that they apparently said I knew and then he carried me to the ambulance truck.

that made me go silent, “I am her brother, I was trying to save her, but the building then collapsed” Then there was silence between us.

The ambulance took me to the Hospital and took care of my hurt ankle. I was feeling quite sad and angry that my mom had died that day. I will never forget her. I wondered to myself what I would do now. My mom’s brother (Alec) asked me if I was ok, I said yes, I wanted to stay with him for awhile, the only person that would make me feel

Many people believed that the Twin Towers would never collapse and that it was invincible due to the complexity of its structure. The North Tower was constructed in December 1970, followed shortly by the South Tower in January 1972. The complex design of the World Trade Center was conceived as an urban renewal project and were used to restore confidence and help bring a halt to the decline of lower Manhattan. The 9/11 terrorist attack was a series of four attacks on the United States on the morning of September 11, 2001. The attacks killed 2,996 people, injured over 6,000 others, and cost at least $10 billion in property damage and infrastructure. The greatest factor that contributed to the loss of life of 9/11 was the construction of the towers…

I was 3 years old when the 9/11 attacks happened. At the time, I was too young to remember or to understand what was going on. When I became old enough to know what happened, I got scared because I thought that there could be another terrorist attack any day. I think that security should be a little better at checking people at airports considering the hijackers easily snuck weapons past them. All in all, I feel bad for all the families who lost loved ones. 9/11 was a tragic day in…

September 11th of 2001 was a day that nobody will ever forget. It was a day full of tragedy, loss, and grief. We have always been told that Osama Bin Laden and many other terrorists were the cause behind the tragic events of this day. We have always been told that he was the leader and the “bad guy”, and we have always believed it. Perhaps we have believed it because he was wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998 bombing of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. What if this was not the case? What if it was a cover up by our own government system?…

Trembling down the streets Elizabeth was getting compliments left and right about her gorgeous brown hair and her bright blue eyes. She was used to all the compliments on the street because she had a long walk from work. She was so tired from a case she worked really hard on that evening in court. Even though on the inside she was half asleep she always looked like a bright sunflower shining through the crowded streets of New York City, Times Square. As she struggled to insert the right key to her penthouse, she dreamed of an amazing sleep for at least 9 hours, but Elizabeth had company tonight and she had to make a delicious dinner. Her family was coming over tonight, which was a big deal since they only come once in a blue moon. She spent…

That was two years ago, yet, I remember that phone call and my experience of '9/11' as if it was only yesterday. September 11th 2001, just the mention of that date causes me to shudder. I remember it clearly. It was about half past eight in the morning and I was well asleep on my dad's pull-out couch, with absolutely no intention of waking before eleven. Yes, I know that I'm very laid back - sue me!…

September 11, 2001. A day no American will ever forget. It was a day that this nation realized that we as Americans are not invincible. We can be hurt. Planes flew into both the north and south towers of the world trade center. The towers collapsed killing thousands of people. This event has been not only terrifying, but it has also been insightful. In my English IV class, we read multiple articles that were published after 9/11. These articles gave us insight by looking into the historical significance as well as the memories of that terrible day.…

I was the only one to get it out, stairing at the building that was no longer my home, The roof falling apart, the front door falling off, then I got the message. I had a neck brace around my neck and IV’s stuck all in my arms. I started to panic, I was lost, confused and scared. My best friend was there in the ambulance trying to calm me down. But still, all I could think about was the reaction of my parents when they found out what happened. Once we got to the hospital, the paramedics took me to Emergency Care. The doctors ran many tests on me: MRI’s, CAT Scans, and X-Rays, whatever test you can name – they ran on me. As I waited for my results, the doctors came in and explained to me what happened. An intoxicated driver with a gun ran the red light and hit me in a head on collision. The driver not only totaled my mother’s car but also totaled his own car too. The good thing was that he was okay. I didn’t know what to be happier about; the fact that the other driver was fine or that the accident was not my fault. Selfish right? But I’m sure if you were me at the time, you would think the same thing.…
