Question: Can a Public Service Announcement (PSA) help reduce the number of distracted driving incidents?
Part One
1. Write the claim you will present in your argument essay.

The only way to prevent distracted driving is to target the people who it affects most and give them knowledge about what they are doing and the consequences involved in doing so, a Public Service Announcement is a great way to inform people about this issue.
2. Write the counterclaim that you will refute in your argument essay.
A Public Service Announcement will not help reduce distracted driving because people believe that bad things don’t happen to them but only other people.
Part Two
Identify research sources that you will use in your argument essay. Include at least two primary sources and at least two secondary sources. Use MLA citations to document your sources here. Be sure to use an online source, such as EasyBib or Son of Citation to help create the citations. An example has been provided.

There is no way to better get a point across than an announcement explaining the problem and how to prevent it. Distracted driving must be stopped, many innocent men, women, and children are killed because people do not pay attention to what they are doing. PSAs give a campaign the chance to really reach its audience. There is no other medium that can get as much information across in as little time. Some might consider a speech, posters, or any other persuasive device. However, if someone truly wishes to make a difference and to save lives, they will use a PSA in thier campaign.…
